  6. Good old 45's my favourite engines 4588 was my regular engine back in the 70's on the Paignton line, shame it got sold and gone to the Peak District ... 4588 hauled the very first train when the Paignton line opened on January 1st 1973, fir the first 9 months the DVR had to run as a comuter line to fulfill an obligation from BR to provide a daily service - so guess what we had steam hauled comuter trains with 4588 and 6412 - little known fact lost in the most of time

  14. While your about it check the set up on the front boige as it doesn't look right, might be better off with one from a Castle .... and adjust the splashers as they need to be above the wheels, what type of boiler are you proposing, it might be better with a boiler off a Princess, bear in mind the length of the firebox for hand firing...
  15. That trailing truck will be in the way of the rear ashpan damper for cleaning out the ashpan... should the tender have higher sides?

  18. Ok been over to Bekra and picked up KS tubing, Plastistriut, sections, Milliput, .... To update the model railway has gone as it was taking up space they wanted to use for stock, they are in the process of building a 0 gauge top shelf height layout to go round the back part of the shop. They are not going to stock masses of Hornby, Bachmann, Humbrol, etc. etc. But concentrate on core items, ordering every two weeks from Gaugemaster, Peco, Woodland Scenics. There is a section of old stock that once it's gone it's gone.... basically packs of scenery items from odd manufacturers (didn't really look) They don't want to compete with the Paignton Model shop so dont expect vast amounts of rolling stock

  22. Bekra has changed hands and been brought out by the Teignmouth RC model shop people, still much the same inside as it always was... Hope to stock up on KS metal parts etc. This weekend
