  1. I've spent a little while studying the various Peterborough signalbox diagrams. I have to say that operation must have been very interesting. The down goods starts on the down side, crosses to the upside at Spital Junction and crosses back to the downside at Werrington Junction. There seems to be various routes through the yards, crossed by up road lines, loco lines, transfer lines and just about anything else. The up goods fairs a little better but look at the up goods departure at Peterborough North..This really has to be an afterthought?
  2. I have uploaded Peterborough North x2, Werrington Junction, New England North, and Crescent Junction. http://richard2890.fotopic.net/c710126.html If you want them emailed directly drop me a PM with an email address. Edit... I've somehow managed to post Werrington Junction in the wrong place... http://richard2890.fotopic.net/p66770264.html
  3. I have a few more box diagrams of Peterborough North, Crescent and Spital Junctions i can upload to my site if you are interested..
  4. I plan to travel on the Cambridge misguided busway if it ever opens armed with the last passenger working timetable so i can have a good chuckle at the 'progress' in modern transport systems. To think a Cravens would have been able to make the journey quicker... Looking at some of the photo's i've seen of the misguided busway there seems to be no provision for bidirectional working. What happens if a bus breaks down in section?
  5. There was an economical facing point at East Holmes, Lincoln until the recent resignalling.. I have been looking for a picture of it on the net but can't find one just yet.
  6. There are places where the FPL lever locks the points in the frame though personally i'm not a fan of this. Anything i have designed always lock the points with the lever reversed. One example that springs to mind is Reedham Junction, Norfolk where the FPL lever locks one set of switches out of the frame an another when in. I'll see if i can find a photo of the pull plate..

I've been looking for a typical arrangement of headcode discs but can't seem to make my mind up. My sectional appendixies on give special arrangements to and from the southern region and direct me to the general appendix for the complete list. Does anyone have this list from the general appendix? I've tried looking through this.. http://grahame910.fotopic.net/c1784737_1.html but of course it doesn't tell me where they'd been..

I bought mine today from the same retailer as in the OP. Getting the decoder in was the struggle i was expecting with my dirty great sausages for fingers but so far it seems to run ok. Hopefully i'll get a chance later to give it a run with a good load and see how it goes..
  9. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/south_of_scotland/8546096.stm I wish it every success.
  10. Interesting. I wonder if it had been knocked out of a train through defect or was at Belvoir Junction on a revenue move?
  11. What is this wagon? http://daveseastmidlandsandlincsrailwayarchive.fotopic.net/p58568936.html I don't seem to be able to find anything about it...
  12. From that angle i'd say it was simply a gallows stay post for the signals as you say. For a moment i thought i'd found a Post-Pitfall, all line material code 661/2/43&44.. http://richard2890.fotopic.net/p63313246.html
  13. Some stock was stabled at Baldock overnight in the up sidings. I'll leave it to you to work out how it ended up in the up sidings..
