Sorry I’m a bit late to your thread Rob. To join my backboards I’ve used car door protectors (the long clear ones - £1.99 a pair on eBay and can be cut to length. They clip on/slide off really easily. A pity I didn’t mention it earlier.
Will be interested to see how you get on Andrew. Your build might even spur me on to build an extension to Bleak Moor Quarry Shed. I did start an extension but gave it up - I cant remember why or what the extension was going to look like!!
So many great songs that evoke special memories. However, any live concert by The Cure, and particularly ‘Cold’ - so good live, it makes you feel that you have seen and heard something very special indeed.
Really enjoying your build James - it’s nice to see a build from the very beginning. I love the scalescenes paper you’ve used by the side of your canal - could you please tell me which one you’ve used as the only one I can find on their website is ‘cobbled setts’ and it doesn’t seem to look like yours.
Many thanks.
My PI Victory is a superb runner - speed step 2 gives a barely discernible crawl with no hesitation over insulfrog points (sorry about that for the purists amongst us!) Any small industrial by PI would find favour with me.
P.S. Had to re-solder the grey and orange wires the other way around so the loco ran in the correct direction.
Congratulations on sticking with your box files Andrew - I think your layout looks superb. I bet Ian Holmes at The Dispatch would love it and so would the subscribers.
Best wishes
The Bandit.
