    My main model railway interest is the transition era, 00 gauge. In my spare hours that nobody has planned anything for me (which is rare!) I enjoy volunteering at the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, and taking railway photos in my local area. I sometime even find the time to do some modelling!!!

    None railway...... I have been know to participate in the odd real ale or two, getting out on my bike and spending time with my family.

      Yes, she had a run to Hellifield and back with a coach and a 47

      My least favourite loco and Statesman Rail my least favourite operator. Paid handsomely for a steam hauled trip Lancaster over Settle and Carlisle to Carlisle and back. 48151 hit problems at Preston (injector) and replaced by class 47 County of Essex at Hellifield. All Statesman concerned about was making up and gaining time so the pleasures of a steam loco wiring hard and lingering views of the countryside were substituted by a diesel flat out and the scenery a blur.
