Class 56s,new and old photos...
Phil Mc replied to class"66"'s topic in UK Prototype Discussions (not questions!)
Hi Nes, 56101 had just been named 'Frank Hornby' at a modelrail live event on 17.9.11, though i'm sure some loco's had similar livery adornments in Br days!! The loadhaul grid pic was taken on 15.2.10, it had just been painted (see overspray on brake cylinder), I presume its in preservation in this livery? 006 was captured on 6.8.09. Cheers, Phil. -

Photo taken at 12.30pm today (apologies for quality, but it was nearest I could get to them!) If i'd known they were going to lift them this afternoon I might have hung around to watch, just in case !! I wonder if the cone is meant to stop them being driven away Cheers, Phil. -

Don't think we've had a 'continental rail' liveried one so far, and what I believe to be 422 with a couple of friends for company! Cheers, Phil. -

Hi Mick, Hasn't a certain Maroon Western recently been close enough to your chosen location to at least be in with a shout of a run past on the mainline??!! Looking forward to seeing your plans develop. Cheers, Phil. -

Presumably on 'Great train robbery' filming duties. I know the vast majority of people would have no idea about the inaccuracies on display here, but surely theres no excuse for the lion being upside down -

Plan view of 031, don't think it ever left Toton in this condition, especially with the lack of brakes! Cheers, Phil.
