  1. Ravenser. May I suggest you re-read through the thread to gain a proper understanding of what it's about. Allow me to aid your understanding. I started it because there seemed to be a show in Oxted stating that it was by or in cooperation with the local Council. Not true. Then there appeared a few other shows appearing to use names of Club's that didn't actually exist. Are you getting my drift yet ? By the way, I notice that you mainly only comment on a thread when you want to argue about the content. So please take this as a pointer and comment and not a counter arguement or view on you post. Just advise. I won't be replying to any more of yours as in the 16.2mm threads. Dave
  2. Recently picked up a few exhibition flyers at the Erith Longfield Show. I see the commercial show calendar is expanding. 19 Feb in Reigate 25 Feb in Maldon Essex. 29 Apr in Rye & 20 May in Tunbridge Wells. All giving the same telephone number of 07595 255150 !! Dave
  3. From an earlier thread. EM dimensions as promised, all in mm; EM1 56 x 25 x 10 EM2 66 x 30 x 15 EM3 89 x 37 x 22 EM4 136 x 55 x 32 Dave.
  4. Charlie, Biff. Re this new Class 47. Please could you tell me what Version Number is on the chip label for this? Cheers Dave.
  5. So. Where does one find Richard Croft please. Dave
  6. I cut off the protrusion and the measurement is the same. 7.5 Ohm. Interestingly, if it is a 'speaker', I could find no means of it being powered. Dave
  7. Guys. I now have the iPhone 6 (not S or S Plus). It measures 7.5 Ohms. Cheers Dave
  8. Here are a couple of shots of the iPhone speakers I have so far. First shot is both sides of an iPhone 4. the outer two contacts I measured as 23.5 ohm and the inner pair as 8 ohm. Could there be two 'coils' inside? One appertaining to the Loudspeaker effect and the other to the earpiece effect. Don't know yet but obviously the earpiece effect won't be required. Second 2 pics is the iPhone 6S Plus, described as the Loudspeaker. The two contacts measures 8 ohms. The sound port is on the end and very small. Just inside it has a material gauze, I guess to stop dust. I am still awaiting delivery of the iPhone 6 speaker and the I will test them against a Sugar cube. Hope this helps. Dave
  9. Mmmmmmmmm. This 'problem' may be of my making and I apologise. In reply to post #1 (in Post#2) I gave the impedance as 23.5 Ohms and indeed this is correct but I have now found that two of the connections give a value of 8 Ohms. Also, I have now obtained an iPhone 6S PLUS Speaker and this is 8 Ohms. The original measurement was for an iPhone 4 speaker. Also, another post has made mention of getting the 'loudspeaker' one and not the 'earpiece' one. A lot of eBay sellers dont mention this. I'll add a couple of photos later. I'm awaiting an iPhone 6 speaker before starting testing. Dave.
  10. A new power supply cost very little from Coastal DCC. Give them a ring and get a new one before Christmas. Dave
  11. I see that the old talking point has raised its head again and we have an Exhibition this weekend by the Modelfest Club in Kent. Is there such a Club? I've sent them a mail to the address in the UK Modelshop listing, but have yet to receive an answer. No phone number either. Are we looking at another fictitious Club? Dave
  12. The blanking plug in my bag seems to be for the roof. Dave
  13. Great modelling on all your stuff, James but I absolutely hate, hate, hate, grafitti. Dave.
  14. Hahahahahahahaha. Just spotted this. You need to come over to 00-SF. or more succinctly 00 16.2 All P&C is built to 16.2 by whatever method you choose. Use 1mm flangeways and leave you Bach to backs alone or use 14.5mm. No need to mess about with RTR locos. Dave
  15. Just a quick reminder that this layout is at Tolworth Showtrain 12 & 13th November. Dave.
  16. Hahahahahahahaha. Good video but have you reviewed the text. Very funny. Dave
  17. Hugh. The hook is missing the 'turnback' to prevent uncoupling until the tension is released. Also you previous couplings are not standard. The fishtail area is too think requiring a pocket with an aperture of a differing height. This means that you coupling wont fit anything else and no other coupling will fit your socket. Ie Kadee . Dave
  18. The cement bags are by a Co called something like Dhura. I'll see if I can find the proper name. Dave Ps. Edit. I have just noticed a website link in post #175.
  19. Hi Chris. That loco belongs to another Club member, but he usually fits Presser or Noch Tram Drivers. Can't remember what make it is Sorry. Dave
  20. A couple of new bits on the layout recently. I cannot believe how fast things deteriorate nowadays. These were new only 3 or 4 weeks ago. Who ever buys the land gets a couple of vans to add to their fleet. Hope to see some of you at Tolworth Showtrain. 12th & 13th November. Dave.
  21. I work in 00 but haven't laid Third Rail for a good few years. However, when I did I laid the Rail a little closer to the running rail than prototype dimensions show. This is because 00 is narrower than prototype so I thought using a prototype distance would look too big. I cant remember the measurements now but I think I worked on percentages. Dave.
