  1. Hi Damian, As I said to Chris on the Treneglos thread, you may find me easier at Tonbridge, as I am the club secretary and will probably be busy but will look to get round to seeing you guys (and the others from the RM Web that are attending). Colin
  2. Hmmm possibly be seeing you at 3 of those shows, Tonbridge & Uckfield (definitely) and Aylesbury (possibly/probably!) but I mlook forward to seeing Diesels in the Dutchy as well as Treneglos this year. Colin
  3. Thanks Chris, with all those Bulleids available , I will need to check the floor plan to see how close you are to Albert Goodall's stand (its going to be Shirley's last show.) Colin
  4. you have certainly been busy Chris, hopefully I will get the chance to see them run in a few weeks time. Nice to see the Bulleids in the background as well. We have a Bullied fan in our club and have told him about your layout so will tell him to pop round to see you at the show. Colin
  5. You are making good progress there Gordon, the station throat is going to look good. Colin
  6. Hi Paul, a lovely looking layout you have there, agree for the request for more pictures. Colin
  7. Just off the top of my head, there will be between 15-20 RM Webbers at the show, either club members, Exhibitiors or Traders, and 3 more layouts with threads on here, I have just put the final listing on the show thread. Colin
  8. Hi Chris, Will certainly try and get round to see you, think you may find me first as I'm the club secretary and will be trying to get some organization on the day (famous last words). I'm not trying to put any pressure on Geoff to get the signals done, fully understand how chaotic things can be, but should I mention we have a signalling engineer amongst our members! Colin
  9. Hi Chris, A belated Happy New Year to you. Will you have the signalling ready for when Treneglos comes to Tonbridge in a few weeks time, will be interesting to see it work (if I get the time ) Colin
  10. Would like to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year

  11. We shall be carrying out some more work on the layout in a couple of weeks time, as this will be our last opportunity of doing it before it goes to Tenterden in March, we will be busy after that weekend with the Tonbridge show. The work will include having another track selection mechanism fitted in the other fiddleyard with a threeway point, the bolt on pieces we use on the two 3 track fiddleyards are being extended from 6" to 1' each end, this will allow for more clearance on the points but also to possibly add to the trains we already run on the layout. Some small scenic repairs will also be looked at. The layout has attended 4 exhibitions in the last 14 months, and we hope that people have liked what is on display, despite it not working to its best at times. As said we are Tenterden in March and we have had several enquiries for shows in the future which we hope come to fruition. Colin
  12. That roof looks stunning Will be interesting to see the pictures of it being placed in position. Colin
  13. What a great layout, the guys have done so far. Hopefully get to see some more pictures as work continues with it. Colin
  14. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to you Ron, this has been one of the most compelling and fascinating threads on the RM Web and will look forward to your progress next year. Colin
  15. Hi Gordon, Its good to see you are back and working on the layout again, particularly interested in the way you go about making your track. Will look forward to seeing more of this soon. Colin
  16. Hi Ron, You should know by now that there is a group of us on here awaiting a daily 'fix' of your modelling skills, so its good to know that you will be working on the train shed again shortly. Have to say that the single track bridge you have built looks very good as well. Colin
  17. HMMM, been nearly a month and no update. Has the modelling been suspended for the time being to finish your building work for its new room Ron? Colin
  18. Have to say you have done a great job with the layout Ray. Colin
  19. A small trestle should help save the stand, barring that crash diets before the layout is out next Colin
  20. A couple of pics from Brighton using the new lighting on the layout. The rowing boat resting in the shade, as the light glints across the river 14xx disappearing down the branch near the river. Colin
  21. In fairness I did say POSSIBLY Manors and Counties, I am more of a Southern man Colin
  22. Hi, looks to be an interesting project you have, You may want to view the threads on Torrington & Treneglos on here as they are layouts that depict steam running on the Southern 'Withered Arm' which is what sounds like you want to do. In view of what may have run into those stations, T9, M7, West Country's from the Southern, and from the GWR Praries, Panniers, Diesel Railcars, Moguls, and possibly using Manors and counties for the bigger passenger trains. Will continue to watch your progress on this. Colin
  23. Have to agree that the presentation boards look great. Will have to wait until Uckfield next year to see them and the layout. Colin
