I've used ash from cheap disposable barbecues on a couple of layouts, just lit them and let them burn so the ash is clean. Got some funny looks from the neighbours when I was out in the garden burning them in the middle of winter 😂

Priory Park is another accidental side project that I started a couple of years ago with some considerable help from my girlfriend. It's purely a bit of fun and not meant to represent reality (although it has been inspired by the exchange sidings at Minffordd and a layout on RMwebb called Aberllyn)
I haven't got a track plan but the first picture hopefully shows the basic idea, there are 4 separate areas, area 1 top right will be a junction station, area 2 bottom right is an exchange siding with a standard gauge line, area 3 bottom left will be a scenic area and area 4 top left is the standard gauge fiddle yard. I had hoped that it would fit on a 4'x2' board but I had to extend it to 62"x2'.
So far I've concentrated on the exchange sidings and now that section is beginning to look presentable I have started this thread with a few pictures showing progress.

The sugar factory was still rail connected at that point. However...

So that rules that one out then.
80002 moved by rail from Cowlairs to KWVR in 1969 and hasn't left, so that's one that's never been on a low loader.
75027 I believe was transferred by rail from Carnforth to Horsted Keynes in 1968, though I can't find anything online to say how or when.
But did 73050 and Jack's Green move to Brotherhood's by rail?, they both definitely returned in light steam steam. This picture by the late Mike Bratley may be 1928 taking 73050 to Peterborough

7029 Clun Castle possibly ?
Went into preservation before the end of BR steam and always seemed to be based at Tyseley.
Clun apparently visited the GCR in 1994

Several of Didcots stored locos possibly qualify, 7808, 6998, 6697 and even maybe 1361?. Also has Fire Fly been anywhere else?

Don't think 73050 has been anywhere since it arrived in Peterborough under its own steam in 1968, although its tender has gone to the NYMR by road. Jack's Green (Hunslet 1953) may also qualify unless it was moved by road to Brotherhood's (local engineering company) for its overhaul, it certainly returned by rail. The Nene Valleys steam crane was delivered by rail and as it's self propelled??? And going way off topic, the turntable at Wansford was moved by rail from Peterborough East not road https://jpsgallery.zenfolio.com/p127423666/hef2df275
42073 at Lakeside may be another candidate?

Yep it got pranged when in France hence the damaged front/droopy rear cab. The generator lives on in 37003 from memory.
37003 did indeed receive the power unit/generator from 073 when it was at the EARM, most of the air tanks from 073 went into 37275

Lovely... where is your layout topic?
Hello John thanks for your comment, I haven't started a specific thread for this or my other layouts yet (like many things it's in the 'roundtoit' pile) but there are a few more pictures at https://jpsgallery.zenfolio.com/p501481377?fpciidx=7

Nicely finished. What did you use for ther wasp stripes?
Could you post some images of the whole layout? It looks interesting and convincing.
Hi 5050, the wasp stripes are Fox transfers on yellow paint, the transfers had to be cut into smaller pieces to get them to lie something like flat, think there are 8 sections on the back of the cab and rear bufferbeam.
Here are a couple more pictures (apologies for the non industrial ones) the first is an aerial view showing the plan, the layout started as as goods yard but I found room to squeeze an exchange siding in (At the top of the picture) There are cassettes where the track leads off to the upper left & the scenic area is 20"x48". More pictures at at https://jpsgallery.zenfolio.com/p501481377
