Oakville and Majestic used to produce a kit for the 1366 class. I have two for sale. If you’re interested, send me a PM

Indeed. David parkin will tell you they were originally designed as set of parts rather than a kit.
I suspect that the first thing that David will tell you is to spell his name correctly!

Recycling your ebay receipts is commendable but be aware that your address is clearly visible, as are the details of the Parkside SR wagon that you bought!

Just to elaborate on my earlier post, I have taken a photo of the rail joiners that I referred to earlier. I emphasise that these are FUNCTIONAL fishplates not the easily-obtained ABS or brass COSMETIC offerings from C&L and Exactoscale. They fit superbly and are inconspicuous too.
A tad too long so, fit to one rail, cut to length with side-cutters, push further onto the rail to re-open slot, job done!

Just checked and not currently in stock with UK suppliers and silly-money postage from US. Sorry.

You might want to source some of these which fit code 125 rail really well. Don’t be put off by the HO labelling!
I bought some on UK eBay.

What with pwr's problems with Dapol Kits .....
They aren’t (supposed to be) kits!

Here you go BGman >>> https://www.gmodelscene.com/
Doesn't say were they are based but all the costs are in euros and the cheapest postage is in Ireland then UK then Europe so would seem like they're based in Ireland.
Best
I think you'll find that it does say! You are correct - it's Ireland.

I've attached the kit list from c2011
Dave
(and I may still be wrong!)
Edit - I am! Several of the old Mallard kits were either dropped or presumably available only in small batches. There was a LSWR and MR steam railmotor, a GER Claude Hamilton loco and no doubt a few other kits in addition to those listed below.

Neither Mallard nor Blacksmith listed any 7mm scale LNWR vehicles if any type.

Alternatively, go straight here

The Dapol model is a bit of a hybrid out of the box. Sold as "GWR" it comes with a BR smokebox number plate, which I have removed. The real life loco was built in 1946 at Swindon.
It’s not too far away!

I have some 1/50th scale Chinese people for the DMU. They look a bit small but I'm hoping to get away with it.
I've been to Beijing and Shanghai many times - they are definitely smaller than us!

I may have a look, ironically, I can bring it home in checked in luggage in a case, but I think the biggest issue is Royal MailNo you can’t. Anything that is carried by air, whether in baggage or as freight is subject to strict rules. It is a condition of your airline ticket that you comply. Maybe for the first time in your life, read the restrictions here - scroll down to the ‘Prohibited Items’

Can anyone confirm there is a variant with a much taller, thinner chimney? I'm sure I've seen pictures somewhere but cannot put my hand on them at the mo.
Do you mean like this?
The earliest photos appear to show locos with open cabs and taller chimneys. Later photos of the class appear to show a larger diameter boiler and shorter chimney and usually with an enclosed cab and outside bearings to the trailing wheels.

Slater's website states:
All locomotive wheels are to Fine Standard ("Finescale") profile with a back-to-back of 29.2mm. We also make and can supply axles for Scale7 b-b.
30mm is clearly more than it should be.

Is there a radiocontrolledfishweb?! I should check...
You should also check the genus of a dolphin - it's a mammal not a fish!

What is Paul's usual email response time at the S7 stores please? I sent an order in a week ago and I'm wondering how soon to follow up.
I contacted Paul earlier on your behalf. He's been waiting for material to manufacture point filing jigs. His supplier is on furlough. He thought that he'd contacted everyone who was waiting. He will be milling new jigs at the weekend and will (presumably) despatch next week.

Just wondering if anyone else has been unable to email the membership officer of the S7 group? I want to join but my emails keep bouncing back as undeliverable.
Thanks much,Amanda

I realise that dock railways had specially shaped rail with a groove but it is not really feasible to replicate this type of track.
Not always. This is Swansea South Dock area where much of the inlaid track look like this as you have mocked up (albeit with a very large flangeway!)

Well, you did ask!
I'm jesting, of course.
For all of us, there would have been a time when we had no knowledge or understanding of the meaning of 'weighshaft', 'injector', 'w-iron', 'bolection', 'Instanter' etc. Learning new stuff is part of the joy of the hobby.
I confess that until I spent many hours entering the entire Modelu catalogue into the searchable GOG Product Database, I had no idea what the correct name was for a pipe clip. Now I do. And now, so do you!
