Glad someone bumped up the thread, great to catch up on all the work that’s been done since I last saw the layout over 4 years ago. You have an amazing talent for reproducing the little every day things that make it so realistic. The amount of work that everyone has put into the layout is mind boggling. It’s one of those benchmark layouts that I’m unashamedly going to steal ideas and inspiration from Looking forward to seeing more. Keep up the good work Ryan

Thanks for the photo. The only Corgi ones I can find are 1:43 or 1:36, I will keep looking to see if they do make a smaller one but it appears to be long discontinued Ryan

I live near Aberdeen and have spent a lot of time up and down on the train to Dundee etc - looking forward to seeing your progress. Great work so far. Looks like an interesting trackplan Ryan

Don’t really see why anyone needed to comment at all. Just people having a poke for no reason. Not constructive, not welcome, if you aren’t adding to a post then why bother?

Have now got hold of some (at a great price) - thanks for all the input
-
As would anyone, but many sellers inflate prices on eBay to counter the 10% fees etc. Hence the post here. End of discussion Thanks
-
Didn’t realise this would turn into a discussion. Either you have them and want to sell, or don’t any other comments are not required. Cheers

We got a sticky type mat from Dunelm which is ideal. It’s slightly smaller than the rug and tacky. Been used several times and moved frequently and still works.

Unfortunately I’m only looking for the models not observations. I’m willing to pay a fair price but not over inflated ones. We all know how silly prices can get on there Thanks

Looking for the Bachmann Mk1s produced for modelzone 39-000K BR Parcels 39-000L GUVs Don’t want to pay silly eBay prices. Thanks

Lovely layout, looking forward to seeing the plans you have for it Ryan

That looks superb, brilliant tip. Ryan

Looks like a great model, much improved on the older casting. My next problem is how to apply the livery I want but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. Appreciate all the input Ryan

It’s a strange one. I always loved the Orion, a great looking car.
-
They do come with wheels, I’m not sure how they will look. As for glazing, some Krystal kleer might work but I’m not sure how much use it would be for a windscreen. Would need a bit more research. The postage is quite high so I’d probably order a few at once. Quite good that you can get different levels of finish as well, but go for the top finish you’re looking at £30 Ryan

Hi Andy, Exactly what I was after. Here’s the link for anyone who’s interested. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/digitawn?section=Cars+1-76&sort= Cheers Ryan

Thanks for that info. I did think it was too long to be a fiesta so that explains that. I’ve never seen one like that. The photos are borrowed from Flickr where I end up spending quite a while browsing some days Ryan
-
That would work quite well. Perhaps one of the 3D printing experts could get that made? I have been looking for various other types and came across this photo of a Fiesta van which would be interesting and fairly easy to recreate with an Oxford model. Ryan Edit - on second thoughts it looks more like an Orion or something, I’m not actually sure.
-
Thanks for those suggestions. Some great looking models. The escort van was so common I’m surprised no one has made one yet. I’m sure Oxford will do one eventually. I particularly like the Sherpa, always a favourite of mine. Ryan

I have a copy of the ‘Mailvan Handbook’ which is actually quite interesting! Unfortunately this is all I can find out regarding the Seddons. There isn’t a big section on different styles of trailer. It may have been a one off, as many times vehicles were customised for the locations they were used in. Hope its of some use Ryan

Hi all Anyone know if there’s a Mk4 Escort Van available in 4mm? Doing some research before I start planning my new layout and want to incorporate something similar to the photo. I’d probably consider similar size vans of other makes as well. Ryan

Superb back scene, and the wall is top notch Ryan

Such a great idea, great to see something different. Extremely well executed, brilliant little layout Ryan
