  1. The wire fence is complete and I thought that wrapped up the scenic work but I’ve just noticed the gauge straps need another coat of paint. The KESR diorama is now just about complete. I’ll get this outside for a few shots and then add the fascia with lighting and we intend to add a digital photo backdrop of the local area. This has been a thoroughly enjoyable project all on a board 4’ x 16”.
  2. Kirton Lindsey taking shape. After a coat of gloss lacquer this morning I’ve got the mortar applied and the stone work painted in the darker shade off buff stone. Polystyrene shaped a bit more and the position of the two signals marked out. Tomorrow I should get some more stone washes on and a start on the weathering.
  3. Whilst at the show I picked up a Minerva Felix Pole 21ton mineral. They have Blaenavon ones available. I had 10 of these in OO gauge many years back so it’s a little nostalgic for me. Blaenavon being local as well. But as I model BR it can’t stay as it is. here’s where I am so far
  4. The footbridge for Aneurin bridge assembled as well this weekend. This is a mock up of how it will look with the Road girder behind. At the Newport o gauge show yesterday Box tunnel was on display
  5. The lines side PWay hut made up this morning for Kirton tunnel. Am Intentio kit, a separate commission build an Intentio Bothy now in base brick
  6. The last details added to the KESR diorama, another pair of road signs for the opposite side of the crossing. The first day on the Kirton Lindsey project, the board framed up and the track laid over a printed plan so we have the correct 60’ panels and the cutting sides carved out of polystyrene.
  7. Another new large tree arrived from France, It was for Haskins Hill but I put the Sycamore up there and the new Horse chestnut in its place above Holloway tunnel
  8. There a little more to do on the adjoining board, I’ve been building up the ballast shoulder along the Torcombe branch
  9. Sleepers and an inspection pit laid on the new station projects
  10. Looks like a resin boiler from the former JLTRT range
  11. Torri laser cut bridge sides arrived today, these will be sandwiched between plastruct truss sections plus rivet detail from slaters sheets and the resin girder sections. this will go behind the footbridge on St Stephens general station.
  12. Plus a Plymouth to Liverpool service, well just the dining car
  13. Caught the Newquay to Newcastle service coasting down the bank
