  1. I will be moving home in the next two weeks, not by desire more by necessity as my current land Lord has put my house up for sale. My new property is a lot smaller which in many ways is better but it also means I don’t have room to store Cardiff Canton so I’m going to reach out to a few local clubs to potentially see if they have room to store it so I can finally finish it off. My commission work will go ahead as planned as most of that is completed in Bristol, there may be some slight delays to current projects during the transition period. Canton will be 8’ , 3’ once complete but for now it’s only 6’ X 3’ as I’ve yet to build the cassette boards. Failing that I’ll offer it for sale as is and will only look to get back what I’ve invested in it material wise.
  2. Following on from Grimsby & we are now arrive at a very impressive piece of GCR architecture. Kirton Lindsey tunnel mouth in Lincolnshire Designed by Richard Ellis of Monks Gate Models it will now come to me to be built in a similar fashion to the recently completed Box Tunnel. Like Grimsby it will be set in 1923 and Jon Fitness has been commissioned to build a pair of GCR signals for it. As I’m moving home shortly modelling services will be delayed a little so we are looking at spring time next year for completion. A big thanks to Mathew Thompson for commissioning a second build from me.
  3. Now at home on St Stephens bank, it was drawn up in 3D based on the drawings from this book but sometimes there is shrinkage when then 3D printed. That said it looks great in place.
  4. Box Tunnel in the latest edition of Model Rail, meanwhile Rob has nearly completed the track work for the KESR diorama
  5. Yes I always use Severn Mill and they do include the mounting plate
  6. The fabulous Kirton Lindsey tunnel will be one of the next subjects for a Diorama again set in 1923 for the same above loco collection.
  7. Plus this will allow me to wrap up a few loose ends, I never got to complete the Riviera line as I was overtaken by events that happened in my life. Luckily this layout lives on in Scotland. I’ve learnt a lot in the subsequent 5 years since the above models where built so I’m hoping I can better them
  8. As part of the gauge O guilds new modular exhibition layout I’m going to do a 12’ section of the Dawlish sea wall. Hopefully improving on my last example Mermaid cove. the plan is that the guild supply the fiddle yard and curved sections with differ t groups either supplying one 24’ scenic section or two groups each supplying two 12’ sections.
  9. Three of my projects on display this weekend at Steam Swindon
  10. Last two from Pontycwm, I’llbe delivering this to my customer next week. Next project is the KESR diorama
  11. The modelling side of Pontycwm is just about complete, tomorrow I plan to get some outdoor shots with a nicer backdrop. Then it’s fascia painting and lamp wiring prior to delivery next week.
  12. Actually I’m leaning more towards a GWR station, I’ve not done one yet and there’s some lovely kits from Intentio and Monks gate that I’ve got an eye on.
