  1. This strikes me as a bit hefty for something that is...well...not very good by modern standards. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175579658857?hash=item28e15cfa69:g:GwkAAOSwzJtiiUBM and 150 notes for a five plank wagon??? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174947762298?hash=item28bbb3007a:g:p-sAAOSwhBdhSaV9 And now...the pièce de résistance, I give you... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175583431920?hash=item28e1968cf0:g:wG8AAOSw1CNjYDCx
  2. He's got another identical wagon in a slightly shorter box for £65. I never new cardboard was so valuable! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174926790154?hash=item28ba72fe0a:g:YBgAAOSwqbphNn4N Then he has this, again in a "long box" for a silly price... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175088123276?hash=item28c410bd8c:g:xWUAAOSw06Nhzdhy
  3. I wrote to RR to point out that these items were not just double the price, but quadruple the postage of the manufacturer and their response was, "that's nice". They're clearly schysters and don't give a sh!t
  4. Neither have I, and I think it might have been a more credible look into an parallel universe of he'd done those reimaginings on a green Western. I can't imagine any alternate version of the GWR that would have countenanced the use of maroon! "if there is no interest at this price it will be split for spares". That means by the time he's sold them all he'll have made twice as much.
  5. Agreed. That's very cheeky, but it is Rocket Railways after all.
  6. I couldn't agree more. There are 113 pages in his Ebay listings and about 90% of it is overpriced crap. The sort of stuff you'd find in a junk shop but at antique shop prices. He's a complete chancer.
  7. Here's another amazing bargain! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220743416424?epid=2079470346&hash=item3365553a68:g:2DwAAMXQsmFRcg9J&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAkNpaMlTU%2BHsQSClBbLnHhXL4ecQcycnlLnO%2B1ayfvGQf7f2xutdTOnt3a5l2wSOl6kpvOJpQ%2BqnmIDG95go8yp0FUYbnQqoetalUQXy2%2BBu0QGgs1qbccg3KZ74V7wPD66kDxVrR4p8bEzhqgUUEszr4ePHKyWXvZkyHOK%2F1degjG3KveRKhjv%2BvZ9pnfHK3%2Bg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR8rdmpXIYQ
  8. Look at this amazing piece of jun...sorry, scale model...what a paint job! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/374503078306?hash=item57321f79a2:g:AP0AAOSwqCpj44YQ&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAkNprsrFXy%2FYqviauL0yoedRxRAXo2czAg04CavjAXHL6pLB9MJFiEVsdNqmzKhtABsOsTIfV9AhJzjm3wgXmWveR5cVTludxajfKolFCBkJcpMxR8cEyWJ8aHNEW%2Fu1eEL8XuuB0a71BKEpoDCvyt2rEjJIAhxjeCU7luWsxv69V5J339Fh%2B3N1gmHNSBfYZWQ%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_amoYrIYQ
  9. Back now to our normal programming...Go$tude is at it again, this time showing that he seems not to understand the difference between HO and OO... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334739512324?hash=item4df0079c04:g:bP8AAOSwFEJj5PYu&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAkGoCamWlOYBqUWEO90URAYeHZjA0VjKYxhX1ve%2F1XS3CCmMxq4J8B%2BZgRJmiMggIxW9gkraBgeY6obwwSyantO41EhXLR6OyVtzUu%2BDkeuCe2K9MvEI91nqQLxis9QyAdsLW86eaYio05fr80kRtZu9QG0HheWNJt1p7lx8JZ%2FsbDI8eLncSf16ZK3EtTVGs6w%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_KmoYrIYQ And this incredible listing, plugged as being a "great price"! Three empty boxes, yours for the bargain basement price of £109.50!!... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364140747403?epid=13013876423&hash=item54c87ada8b:g:lrEAAOSwif5j5Mwp&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAkFJALSBKuvY7OBezsBDMGKRGn1XVcRO1rRyXfYgNdzu8fhnS%2B46XSzA99HP7u4lX6XnNl%2BaJm6%2BPtKvVlQAerXMZvVMwK%2BVx1CkpkJeNokyHRiyGMNcn8qUouy%2Budcopmpy6z%2FfAg58eaSS59%2FnkDup3xUwYrSC5KJUXBe6mk9E0v8zo0prI7Gt%2F%2Bm2E0KY6vw%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_KmoYrIYQ
  10. I had someone say pretty much all that to me once when I pointed out that our society had become too sensitive and precious for its own good. My response to him was "Don't patronise me you condescending w****er. He was silenced but he looked so shocked I thought he was going to faint.
  11. We've got one that appears in our garden every so often that is minus about 90% of its tail. It looks very strange and the first time I saw it I thought I was seeing things. We suspect the neighbours' murderous cat did the deed. Mittens (we call him Muttons because he's such a thug) kills for fun and when he fails at that, maims whenever possible.
  12. Not only upside down but each seems to have been attached with half a tube of Uhu!
  13. Isn't schadenfreude wonderful?
  14. Isn't schadenfreude wonderful?
  15. God I hope not. That popinjay was such a pretentious ar$ehole!
  16. If Go$tude's defence of his silly prices is that his items are collectible rarities, it falls down here. These coaches may be rare (debateable), but they look as if they've been dipped in sewage so they're not in original condition and therefore not collectible. That makes them jumble sale tat worth a fiver if he's lucky.
  17. I seem to remember there were suggestions that Jarvis had sent men to work on the wrong turnout because they'd been told to attend to the one on the Up line but since they had virtually no experience of working on the railways they took that to mean "up north" and so were actually working on the Down line. I could be talking bo11ocks though. 🤪
  18. How could anyone with any kind of eysight at all call that "good condition?"
  19. Possibly worth a punt. You could resell it for a sizeable profit almost immediately!
  20. For once that seems like a genuine bargain. Shome mishtake shurely.
  21. Here's an example of what can be done on Ebay. Today I got the rather desirable Roco 45923 1962 Rheingold set still factory sealed... ...from a British seller, so minimal postage and no import duty. £274 as opposed to the next best I found from a dealer in Germany (even though it was sold out) for EUR 350 + VAT + EUR32 postage to the UK + whatever fee the Royal Mail wants for collecting the tax. I've seen it as high as EUR549 + VAT = Postage + fees! As rare as hens' teeth and something I've been after for a long time without paying stupid money for it. Result!
  22. The Triang Railways 11th edition of 1965 was my first. I drooled over it endlessly, imagining having the layouts that were illustrated inside.
