  1. It was good to see the model over the weekend, having ordered on the basis that the photos from Warley looked so good. It looks soooooo good in the flesh!
  2. Aytoun Street emergency crossover on Manchester Metrolink also has one of these. I was told it was installed after a number of complaints from local residents about the noise of trams passing over the previous normal crossing. I can vouch for this type being considerably quieter. My suggestion (although not my photo) http://www.festrail.co.uk/gallery_press/albums/Old%20Stuff/Cae%20Pawb%20Crossing/AT232825.jpg
  3. if you have the room to put them in then put them in! Go on, you know you want to!
  4. The signals in question are manufactured by Unipart Dorman, they are single aperture, 3 aspect signals. The drawings for them are available here http://www.unipartdorman.co.uk/productsearch/default.aspx?Type=1&Range=Trackside%20Signals
  5. I would imagine that mk2 air-cons can get quite warm in the summer with no ETH! still stunning though!
  6. Note to self... Next time you buy a class 31 make sure it has all of its handrails!

  7. Note to self... Next time you buy a class 31 make sure it has all of its handrails. What a pain!

  8. Note to self... Next time you buy a class 31 make sure it has all of its handrails. What a b***** of a job!

  9. Note to self... Next time you buy a class 31 make sure it has all of its handrails. What a ###### of a job!

  10. Really nice layout! One small thing, your TPWS grids are the wrong way round!
  11. I'm looking for a soldering iron to build white metal kits. I know they have to be variable with a low temperature setting. Can anybody recommend one? Cheers Rob
  12. If you need any detail pics of the real thing give me a shout, I drive them
  13. even with sprung points the move would have to be "signalled" albeit through the use of stop boards and point indicators etc. You would think that there is a contingency plan to deal with running a unit round with a broken ERTMS module. surely its possible for Machynlleth to give the driver permission to proceed past the block marker?
  14. I'd love to see a regional railways one! Is there still one planned Charlie? Cheers Rob
