What I can't tell, is whether the system will warm the battery whilst it is still plugged into the house whilst the cabin warms up.
If it’s like the BMW you have to tell it your planning on going on a journey so the car can start to warm the traction battery up before you leave, it takes a few hours to get a large cold battery up to 25/30°……the cabin climatisation takes just 15-20 minutes.
EVs are very clever but they cannot predict when your going to use them…….maybe in a year or so 😆

Some of these jobs are not what people would think are directly rail related.
We do Airbnb and it is surprising to find just what jobs people actually do when subcontracting to HS2 and other railway schems. They come from all over the country and presumably take most of their salary home to spend in the local economy.

Hopefully in the new year we will see some more promotion of TT:120 whne stock becomes available.
From most of what I have seen SK chatting about the TT range, he wants the “train set” nostalgia to be a major USP, so releasing the boxed sets first makes perfect sense.

looking back at the model 3, I did 29,000 miles in 18months (it sat for nearly 12months through covid) at an average of 2.6miles per kWh (I’d expected a higher figure tbh).
They both seem very low figures, maybe not so much the MB but the Tesla normally has a reputation for better economy.
Looking at your mileage would it be correct you do mostly motorway mileage, maybe “definitely” keeping up with traffic? 😉

59619 is the EU spec one which doesn't have 3 point speed curve, 59629 is the "DCC" one without the legacy protocols on but with 3 point speed curve. I tend to buy 59629 as they are slightly cheaper, but have some 59619s from a time when I couldn't get hold of 59629s and had stuff arriving!
@boxbrownie this is what I was on about the other day, but wasn't at a PC to do the screenshot in terms of NEM660 vs MKL, "DCC" vs non "DCC".
It is also worth noting to those who may want a few of these, it is usually cheaper to buy from German sites and pay for shipping rather than buying in the UK in my experience. I only fit ESU and so tend to go through a few of these!
Yes, that’s how I understood them, one is multi-protocol and lacks the three step speed set-up, still wondering why they even bothered making the difference, unless there was a chip/programming limitation.

Yes it’s not the “approved” V5 for the U.K. market, it’s US and RoW primarily, I think ESU shot themselves in the foot not releasing on our market IMO.

We were on passage in a small craft off the coast of Devon, at night, in excellent weather, with a clear sky under stars and the sea was as calm as a millpond. It really was beautiful and good for the soul. But at dawn we ran into a thick sea mist as we approached Plymouth. Eyeball navigation became impossible, so no problem, we just cracked-on using GPS.
Now - and perhaps you have to have done it to appreciate it in full - but in fog, when the sea is dead flat, and there is literally nothing to give you any kind of visual reference at all, or even any sense of motion, plus the glimmer of light before dawn makes everything a uniformly dull grey, it all gets quite spooky. But being experienced mariners we had no problem. Using charts and GPS together, we'd proceeded in an orderly direction along the coast, avoiding the known rocks and cardinal marks, all the way into the Eastern Entrance to Plymouth Sound, and about a 1/2 mile in.
That's when we nearly shat ourselves and though we were about to die.
Out of the fog appeared one of HM Royal Navy's biggest frigates - it appeared to be heading at speed right towards us for a head-on collision - and we knew who would come off worst!!!
It took a significant few seconds to realise that in the spooky flat sea and fog, we simply couldn't tell that the frigate was moored and stationary. It was just us gliding across the flat sea straight towards it.
Full reverse, emergency stop! And relax, start breathing again. Then tiptoe off towards Drakes Island as though nothing had happened. How we laughed (afterwards) - cor lummy - such larks!
Right hand down a bit…….
