    Is so excited. Get a trip to Shildon on Thursday to see 60008 and 60010. Never thought I'd be bagging those so soon. One more A4 to bag after that, 60009.

      Its something I'd like to see as I haven't seen 60009 (in completed form anyway as I saw its frames at Bridgnorth) and haven't seen 60008 and 60010. Sadly its a 4 and a bit hour train journey to Shildon for me to see them.

    Thinking of doing the Cathedrals Express with 6201 from Euston to Kidderminster for the SVR Gala on 22nd September (2 days after my birthday)as a birthday treat for myself. Haven't been on the SVR since 1999, a railtour since 2010 and a tour with Lizzie since 2002.

      I think 6201 is on the return as the tour actually goes to Cheltenham with the option of getting off at Kidderminster or Worcester.

    Well, that was disappointing. Missed breakfast and detour enroute to work to photgraph the ECS working with Tornado crossing Ouse Valley Viaduct North of Haywards Heath. It was on time, the sun was shining and it was warm... but on the rear, not 60163, but a red and gold 66. Herumph! Where's Tornado gone?

      I know how you feel, living in Haywards Heath I was looking forward to seeing Tornado in my home town (and Steam in general as we had 44932 back in March, then the Royal Wessex on Saturday started in Brighton but didn't have steam added until Southall then taken off there again with one more trip due this way this year). But Tornado does seems to really dislike Sussex. First her visit to the Bluebell in 2010 for the 50th Anniversary Gala was cancelled after she failed and now this.

    Booked my Ticket for Railfest 2012 at York. Haven't been to York for 14 Years when I was about 6 or 7. Fingers crossed 4472 is ready for static display there.

      I'm going the day after you. 4965 Rood Ashton Hall is bringing in a railtour to York that day and have yet to see any of the Tyseley fleet. I'm hoping I'll have enough time to look round the NRM but not to sure if I will.

      Had a older plane fly quite low over our house earler. I expect that was going to Goodwood as its about 45 minutes from where I live.
