  6. 330 pages? that. Yeah, I'm around - just fairly busy. I have one task I really need to do - where's that mark all as read button gone...
  7. Having got some of the photos from yesterday showing off the Underground Ernie set, I feel a bit of publicity work coming on... ... but had better write this training manual first. Ohhh what the heck - just 5 minutes photo editting then! No church here, we're not allowed in after *that* embarrissing incident with the donkey.
  8. I am off to help run an Underground Ernie set at the Tendring Hundred show today.... narrowly avoiding having to see my mother (!).... its a hard life.
  9. I've done a little bit more to the building - and whilst it doesn't look amazing at the moment, its been a great test bed: I think it gives an idea of what I would be able to achieve in the future. I'm under no illusion this isn't show standard - but it gives me a good stating point for the future.
  10. I like the graffiti. Its some nice work. Andel

    Station update

I have now painted the roof before the arty part goes on top... And to prove my day was spent well: Apple and cinnemon.

It looks very cool - what thickness plastic is it? And how did you achieve the lines to define the planks?

    Station Building

Thanks Jim. I had Bristol Parkway and Liverpool Airport Parkway in mind when planning this out. It was intended that its simply a box, but then the box has to have something about it. The sloping roof will hopefully convey that better - I'll try to finish it tomorrow.

    Station Building

I have a bit of a problem in that I want a modern looking building but with very few buildings being available outside of engine sheds or "print yourself", I've made this: The idea is simple - a 3 sided box with a lid, a window and set of glass doors. I've also added some supporting girders and some taller girders for a sloped roof that I'll be putting on top later this week. The last thing will be I'll paint the roof a dark black and perhaps a second grey coat on the walls.

  20. missed yesterday due to family hogging my office to sleep in.... anyway - this morning I am mentally preparing myself for something called "EIA" training - Equality Impact Assessment. Believe it or not, I did one on my first week. Having been there six months, I'd better to do this training and my induction too...

  22. I spent most of the morning since getting up at 7 feeding girls, dressing, showers, baths... its a busy life here. I have got the lights on my 170 working - it displays either red both ends (f0 off), driving directional day and night, door lights on F3. P_Harmon did a fantastic job

  24. not a lot of fog here but then I live by the sea side so it rolls in, rolls out - much like Tiger Woods with his lovers. Off to Thurrock today following a very nice 6 hrs sleep thanks to #1 daughter sleeping like... well, not like a baby (of which both of them woke every two hours). I'm having to agree with my wife Natasha - she does have it hard. She has chosen to feed the twins naturally and with that comes some downsides... namely cracks around the nipple. I'm normally reasonably sympathetic but for that one I sat her down, made her a cuppa and retrieved a couple of chocolate digestives from my hiding place... Hopefully my Dad should be turning up tonight from Nottingham, too - busy day ahead.... Hope everyone else has a good 'un
  25. Well, i've done naff all since the migration, mostly due to working in an office now rather than from home.
