Alas, it's on hold so there's no progress yet Peter
Now that Parkend Marsh Sidings is finished (well almost!) work has to concentrate Balcombe and the Viaduct on which much work is needed for it's first proper public outing next year at Fareham and in 2025 in Bristol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sts-HyvihjQ
In the general scheme of things, it probably won't be started until 2025 after the above commitments are fulfilled. I console myself by looking in the boxes from time to time, of all those lovely items of stock!
Also 10800 and I will be building 'Lisanno', an Italian '60s layout for which we have acquired a stock of those lovely brown electrics. It was started by the late Grahame Hitchens (bgman) and the plan is to build it in his memory.
So much planned..... so little time!

An interesting picture (photographer unknown) of E5004, 20001 and D6506 approaching Balcombe on 17th July 1960 a joint testing train. Note the elderly 'Birdcage' brake in the down refuge.
Not sure just how rail joints were tested
This consist will feature on Balcombe!

Balcombe was probably the quietest yard they could install a trolley wire for testing surely?! I’ve got a working timetable showing how intensively these locos were used: almost constantly for six days a week both freight and boat trains. Naffing around on a pick up goods wasn’t what they were doing.
Although had these locos had been adopted more widely - Hastings line in particular - we could have seen trolley wires at Robertsbridge, Mountfield etc.
Curious to know where the wire was at Brighton.
These were the pictures that inspired our Balcombe and Ouse Valley Viaduct layout.

Thank you Matt, I stand corrected!

This unusual 'Mammatus or Festoon' cloud formation appeared briefly on Wednesday prior to Storm Agnes here in Devon
I've only ever seen such clouds once before, many years ago.
Rather angry looking!

I'm a bit puzzled by the 'additional' charges mentioned
I'm planning to purchase an item from Shapeways and tested costing before committing and got this result. Would I be expecting to be charged more on delivery?
Items (1) $92.76
Mfg. Speed $0.00
Processing $4.68
Shipping $11.99
Tax 0 $0.00
Total: $109.43
