  1. Yet again, looks like it will be an excellent show. Just one word of warning: for anyone who has a long journey, e.g. "south of the border", you might regret visiting it - because it will draw you to keep on coming back!!
  2. It certainly is the case Peter . Certainly was a very good atmosphere and response there today - hopefully, more of the same tomorrow.
  3. Seems like a temporary departure, from the 'Dark Side', has occurred!
  4. Haven't found a post about this, so to those in the area, LYDCC is well worth a visit; it's about to roll this weekend at the MRX 2019 show Manchester Transport Museum! Great atmospheric venue, surrounded by many vintage buses! Looking forward to setting up later today, with OO GB Clayton End Signalman - say hello if you pay a visit.
  5. Stan, don't know if this appears when you view the new site but it presents an "Edit this text" item in the area above Perth MRG section. I only mention it, just in case it presents some security vulnerability. Regards,
  6. Really enjoyed today, good atmosphere, good range and choice of layouts. Absolutely, well worth a visit tomorrow.
  7. Not long to go now - really enjoyed the exhibition last year and well worth a visit. Will be bringing Arcadia Pennsylvania Terminal, for Neepsend's second show:
  8. Clayton End, safely back home after a useful workout over the weekend.
  9. Looking forward to bringing OO "Clayton End Signalman" to the show, this weekend. Some images:
  10. Hi Peter, Yes it was a good weekend wasn't it. As it happens, we are booked to be back next year - with GB OO Clayton End Signalman so maybe, we'll see you then. Unfortunately, we won't have enough room to provide a home for your excellent diesel depot!
  11. Some excellent photography and video there John, from James! The scale of investment, the advanced bullet trains and station designs, plus the amount of rolling stock that is state-of-the-art is impressive. To put that in perspective: we're enjoying Northern Trains chugging along, when they are able to run them, and asset sweated rolling stock from VT. Add to that the amount of time it is taking to get HS2 underway and you can see, but not necessarily understand, that we have are the poorer relations. And to think, this last weekend, we were in Rainhill, the location of the world's first scheduled passenger railway!
  12. A thoroughly enjoyable weekend at Rainhill. Many thanks to Alastair and the team for all their work, organising and making the exhibition such a friendly and welcoming event.
  13. Rare visitor to 29th Street Wharf Stone Terminal today: friend John's Allegheny 2-6-6-6 #1633 stabled on the harbour-side track, having cleared the Loading Tower with "inches" to spare. What a beast!
  14. Can't find a post about this event, this weekend, so I thought I would flag it up! Looking forward to taking US HO "29th Street Wharf" this weekend. My first visit as an exhibitor at Rainhill, home of the Rainhill Trials no less!
  15. On our way north for a spectator day at the show tomorrow. Always an enjoyable day.
  16. Forgot to mention - many thanks to Ray (Long Island Jack, 59th & Rust) for providing support last Saturday. It was really appreciated.
  17. Arcadia Pennsylvania Terminal back to base after an very good weekend of operation. Many thanks from Dave and Sue must go to Terry and the MK team for all their hard work in putting on such an excellent two-day event.
  18. Looking forward to our second visit, this time with US O scale Arcadia Pennsylvania Terminal.
  19. Many thanks to Colin and the Stafford team for hosting yet another excellent show. Arcadia Pennsylvania team thoroughly enjoyed the event and were grateful for the many kind comments. It would have been nice to have sneaked a bit more viewing time, to see the excellent layouts on offer, but we were there to operate!
  20. Looking forward to bringing Arcadia Pennsylvania.
  21. Only just noticed this Chris! Looks a very good line-up of layouts and traders - well done! Quite an increase on last year. Looking forward to it. See you at Stafford next week.
  22. Thanks, I have reduced the diameter of the tips and there would appear to be no brightness impairment. Having done that I have since attached filed down (diameter) 1.5 mm fibre optics to LEDs, with equal success. One thing I have noticed (with some spare fibre optics that needed straightening) is that using boiling water/steam, the fibre optic appeared cloudy - reducing brightness. Other than that all is well.
  23. Looking forward to going “over the top” from Chorley and making the annual visit to Wakefield. Have to say, there are some really excellent layouts by the looks of it.
  24. As promised: A grubby Louisville & Nashville SDP35 #1700 awaits departure from a loading bay at Arcadia Pennsylvania freight yard.
