Planet Industrials - Kerr Stuart Victory RTR in OO...
cornelius replied to James Hilton's topic in Planet Industrials
LRS has had a bit of a poorly-timed blockage this week dealing with a postage packaging supplier who are usually extremely reliable but failed to delivery promptly. Supplies are now in hand so it will be all hands to the pumps this weekend to get orders out to everyone who has supported this deal. -

I would love to do a fireless loco but I'd worry the market for it would be very small. Happy to be proven wrong! -

Never say never, but it's not currently planned. We did talk about it as an option to get more value out of the tooling, especially had the first run sold through more quickly. While there seems to be a healthy demand for industrial locos it will never be as large as for the mainline stuff, the other factor in the equation is our visibility as a business among the hobby so it's hard to judge if everyone who wants a Victory already has one (or 9) or if there's an untapped market that hasn't heard of PI. Anyway all that is to say is that our next move is more likely to be something else. -

RMweb just stalling on any page
cornelius replied to Izzy's topic in Forum Rules, Notices, Faults & Help
I occasionally have topic pages freak out on Android Chrome and freeze the browser app, it seems to mainly be if there are a lot of images in the page. This also happens on another Invision forum so I don't think it's just an RMWeb issue. -
We can certainly help with that: https://www.lightrailwaystores.co.uk/products/npp-409

Last I heard was that with the loss of the Stevenage venue and the usual demographic issues it is not actively being considered.

Hornby have done two types of Peckett, Sentinel and (eventually) Ruston so who's to say what else might happen.

Argh I didn't want a BR one but the unlined black looks fantastic.

Hi Les, Sorry to hear of your troubles with the postal service. As discussed in our previous correspondence, at the time we checked the tracking code you supplied it showed the parcel to still be at the origin and you were looking into this locally. I've checked the code again this morning and - after an inexplicable delay of a month - it was shown to be "delivery attempted" on Thursday and then "delivered" yesterday so someone must have found it! I haven't been in the workshop for a couple of days but I will try and pop down there over the weekend and verify we have it. Regarding the the loco itself, the loose slide bar is one of the more common issues we've experienced with the Victory. This is usually easily rectified, I have to say this is the first time I've seen one that won't "stay fixed" but it's possible that repeated manipulation of the motion bracket has weakened it and reduced its ability to retain the slide bar. To diagnose suspected mechanical faults running on DC will always give you the best picture - especially with a sound project like the Victory which is designed for realistic operation and does not offer on/off behaviour like good old 12v - but this advice would hold for any locomotive. All DCC Sound Victory (including repairs) were tested and run to our satisfaction prior to dispatch and it's unfortunate that the postal service has not taken good care to get yours to you. As I said I will check we have the return in hand and get back to you by email. -

Hi Jim, That is certainly the box labelling and notes we supplied our DCCS locos with, obviously there is no way of telling what's happened to it between then and now although I am surprised the retailer wasn't able to better identify it. -
I read it more as a comment about 00 gauge shunting where the loco just slams into the train and carries it with it for a while before the operator remembers to twiddle the controller (and/or the loco was sticky and needed a few more volts to get going)

The shop is now closed as of the 30th June, I believe.

That would be Di Pola's in Hastings. No model shop nearby, sorry.
