  1. That looks really nice - I guess I would have to admit to being another AFOL (I've never "come out" as such, but I think my family would guess!), and there's something most appealing about the possibilities of the current Lego train offerings. Don't cover up all of the studs, though - I always think that models covered in plates and looking too realistic somehow miss the point of Lego!

  2. What a beautiful prototype. Anything left today?

Yes, but amazing just how overgrown it has now all become.

I visited the site some years back as part of my "Forgotten Railways of the West Midlands" thread: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/2848-forgotten-railways-of-the-midlands/&do=findComment&comment=19581

(photos not visible on that thread right now, but I think it's just a server thing)

Driving past, you wouldn't guess that there had ever been a station there.

Looking forward to seeing this project develop - I worked in Coleshill for many years, which is when I first became aware of the existence of this place. It'll be great to see it modelled!

  3. That really is exceedingly nice. Good work on the grille, too, although I'd have thought some sort of netting or mesh, cut into a circle and laid in place, would have taken rather less work! I'm racking my brains to think where I've seen something suitable - what are we looking at, 2 inch diameter or so?

  4. What makes you say that? I've been waiting impatiently since Karlgarin took over Impetus. He made a LOT of promises, and broke every one. angry.gif

Now his website just states that he won't respond to enquiries about models not now in production. Useful. rolleyes.gif

From speaking to Richard at a couple of shows this year, it's comments like that that have made him keep schtum on his website. As far as I'm aware, quite a few of the kits are now in production, but he's not advertising the fact until he's got proper instructions drawn up. When they do appear on the website, you can be sure that everything will be ready.
