    Bachmann 1F

My two where here when i came home from work. L M S and BR early crest. Gave them a quick run on the layout tonight. Both superb looking little locomotives super smooth runners even over my insulfrogs no stuttering or jerky moves.Very happy with them another winner from Bachmann well recommended
  8. Hi Couple of photo's of the almost finished four wheel brake, Got some Markits roof vent to add and couplings + finish the inside off better. Runs through the point work ok so that is a plus. Think i'm pleased with it. Cheers again for all the advice on the paint
  9. Something tells me you could well be right on that. I have two on order and i don;t like spending that kind of money so close to christmas
  10. Well one Ratio four wheel brake coach built. Tip to self follow the part numbers when assembling under frame a bit of a fiddle and getting the wheels right. Better luck with the 3rd class coach. Rover damask def looks the part pleased with that. Will post some photo's when i get it finished
  11. Thanks That's better than i expected
  12. Hi All. Do you find as i do that every time i do a little research into a past local branch line or light Railway { Mid Suffolk light } there sits a J15. Of all the model steam locomotives to have in your collection this must fit in on the most. I have said it before but why have we had to wait this long for it R T R i don;t know. I think this is going to be a top selling loco and hope Hornby pull it off. Looks like Bachmann will hit a home run with there 1F loco BUT still wish they had stayed with the J15 because its looking like a long wait ahead for the Hornby J15
  13. It looks the part Rob. Rover damask it is. I'm using this on a couple of Ratio four wheel G W R brake and third coaches i am building i no its not right but i want these for a light railway themed plank i'm doing
  14. Resemblance or not to the real thing I enjoyed re working it and happy with the end result. Thanks Nick for putting me on the the right thead for the conversion. Just need to cut that coupling bar off and arrange something else less
  15. Hi Jonathan I will be using it on two ratio coaches will grey primer be ok ?
  16. Hi All Quick question for you. Does any body know if there is a HALFORDS spray that matches L M S crimson or maroon. PHOENIX paints do it but its £8.00 a tin witch is not to bad but the £7.50 postage is a bit high. Many thanks for any help
  17. Hi Again Here's my go at re-working a Hornby four wheel coach to something for light railway use { Please be gentle with the end result see needs some work } what do you think ?
  18. Just got a Gaugemaster combi complete boxed as new for £10.00 + £3.60 P&P buy it now bargain Nice compact little units just plug in and good ideal for the portable small layout
  19. They can't be real asking for £40.00 for that. If you made an offer they won't take less then £30.00 i bet. It should be in the bargain 50p box under the counter
  20. Thanks for this my friend. That cut down by Richard looks the part will give that a go Cheers again
  21. Hi All Quick question how real is this coach just made up or based on a real coach ? I'm looking for something for a layout based on a light railway any help much appreciated. Chris
  22. Hi Ray see why your delighted with it. That 150 coupling bar makes a big difference too. Have not taken that much notice of the new 101s till i saw this something east anglian would be nice.
