  1. Yes I have, thank you, one of my old work colleagues tipped me off. I have bought a copy. Most of the pictures I have seen before as they are from the Rail online website. The photos at Wandsworth common were new to me. Useful article with details of the many freight workings, wish they had put in some dates but the article is subtitled 60s and early 70s.
  2. This appears to be the type, from Paul Bartlett’s site. Oh for them to have been to 1/148. https://goo.gl/v5qcsZ
  3. Osbourne Models are showing an N Gauge LD van in there 3D printed series, only seems to be available painted. http://www.osbornsmodels.com/arch-laser-a3d0037-austinmorris-ld-postal-van-44620-p.asp
  4. That’s a whole lot of Minix.....looking good. I always felt they were underrated models.
  5. Mk2 FK due for a second issue this year, Mk2 BFK should have been a no brainier as it uses the existing BSO body.
  6. Long sold out and no second issue yet. I do have rather a lot of them as I need them for my Motorail services...sorry.
  7. With GF issuing the first sound fitted class 47 under the Colas body I can see some body swops coming on. It looks like 47727 has mark lights fitted in the former headcode area. Now I’ve only got 47/0 and 47/4 bodies either with marker lights or headcode boxes and no headlights. Looks like you would need to swop the bodies and fuel tanks to get them sound fitted. Is the headlight just another light tube or a separate piece that would need to be swopped too?
  8. I think the class 47 retool is the chassis as it will now be speaker fitted.
  9. Hattons have the Blue Pullman listed as 322.96
  10. Some odd choices there. virgin 47/8 why not an IC one to go with the forthcoming IC Mk2 air cons? sound fitting the Colas 47...really? I suppose it will shift a limited Livery version. Still no second issue blue grey Mk1 FK. Overall a cheap year for me, nothing of interest today apart from 47018.
  11. Ha ha, that’s an idea I don’t think I’d get away with. Room is more than big enough for Olympia and work bench etc and leaves the garage big enough for our current car. One of our goals was not to make the house any bigger than the existing footprint, just much more useable. The Minions came from Aldi Christmas 2016.
  12. I’ve been running mine in on my Kato test track loop, standard radius curves no problems, about 9 1/2 inch radius.
  13. thank you, Digitrax Manual says refer to decoder instructions for reset, nothing like that with the loco though. I have managed to crack the problem F7 speedlock was on. The sounds are back up as I was using F27 and F28 button wrongly. Thought you just held it down but it’s touch on touch off! All systems go now.
  14. My 40141 arrived yesterday....just had a ‘play’.....sorry testing session this morning. All works fine excellent sounds etc..... However being a DCC novice and DCC sound virgin I’ve obviously done something. All the sounds are now very quiet and the loco will not move. I’m using a Digitrax Zephyr. Is there a way of resetting the decoder back to factory settings or something even easier?
  15. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperus New Year...........................and in a not so serious mood.........the alcohol hasn't even started yet! The Minions dont seem to be getting much track laying done on the layout, lying down on the job too! The Brighton Corporation bus destination is finished and blinged up for Christmas.......... We had some good news on Friday that our planning permission has been granted........for hobby room read layout room! and I'm doing my first Railway Book which hopefully will be out during the summer next year.......then probably five more afterwards.
  16. Merry Christmas John and Veronica, I look forward to more instalments in the new year, wish I’d got more done this year.
  17. Had an email to say that mine is on its way over the Pennines from the shop that used be in Liverpool....it will be a whistling New year.
  18. Oh well they’ll be shipped out in time for the new year, mine should have been a birthday present back in October. Wonder if I can get it to Whistle Old Lang Syne!
  19. Freightliner flats are very old models so hopefully the new OO ones will join the shrink ray. A class 25/3 would be a bonus and almost any long frame DMU more so. My wild card would be a 3H DEMU. I can see the breakdown crane coming out in N eventually.
  20. http://www.precisionlabels.com/class402.html? These might be a suitable substitute.
  21. Quite a bit more progress with the TWA building. I’ve also discovered another 1980s TV series it has stared in....The Hammer House of Horror. An episode called Children of the Full Moon. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3gi8ui The building appears straight after the titles and shows what the odd looking LH end of the Russell Rd side was, an undercover entrance for coaches....so I will need to cut a hole in the wall for this. The entrance has now been blocked up and a set of double doors inserted in the new wall. Oh well Sod’s law that I find that image this late in the game. I’ll add some pictures tomorrow.
  22. Mine landed on the doormat today as well.
  23. Using Grahames work as inspiration I’ve made a start on my first all card building. I usually build in plasticard but this is a big building even as low relief. The link will take you to progress on the former TWA terminal in Kensington High St. It is now the Hilton Hotel. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/75679-kensington-olympia-in-n-scale/?p=2920541
