    Our much-loved guinea pig suddenly died today. He was full of beans this morning when I fed him at 7:00; but at 10:30 Mrs Dreyfus found him dead. RIP Phaal.

      Thanks all. I hope he had a good life, and, hopefully, a swift and painless end (I reckon it was either a heart attack or a stoke; no trauma of the vets or a lingering death.

       

      We never 'own' these animals, we merely borrow them for a few years; obviously our loan period was up. There is a Phaal-shaped hole in the world today.

      We lost one of ours on New Years day ! I was in Bangkok so it was a bit of a strain cow I wasn't there for the upset kids. I do like the furry monsters
