Sorry for the delay in responding, I have treyd to cut glazing with the machine, but the results are hit and miss, as the glazing sometimes slip when being cut. I have had both machines well over a year and im still useing the same blade. So they last a long time with regular use

the 330 is the better one:)

Tho please beaware there are two of these machines on the market, I have both. Theres the older one CC220 that has a cutting force of 150gsm and the newer one CC330-20
that has an sd card slot which has a cutting force of 230gsm

The windows are cut from 220gsm card, I could not find a 5p so I hope a penny will do.
I'm not sure if it will cut plasticard, I will have to try it.
As to cutting windows, once you get realy small, I think its best to just cut out the panes instead of the whole window. This allows more support of the glazing bars.

The art work was draw with the program that came with the cutter Robo Master. The maximum thickness that can be cut is 230gsm,
im useing standard card from hobby craft, which I think is 220gsm.
You can now buy the robo I'm useing for around £200 but I'm sure you would be able to buy a second hand one from any of the online auction sites

Hi
great topic
you mention the coach colours being lighter on the prototypes to the modelled ones. I use to work (well volunteer) for the svr many years ago in the carriage repair workshop at Kidderminster. The coaches would come in all battered and the paint work would be all different shades of crimson due to the bleaching affect from the sun. We would strip all the old paint off, prime them and repaint into a much darker crimson, which would be very much like the modelled types.
if you want to go for a true representation of the line I would vary the shades from a very light crimson, with suitable weathering and marks right the way though to a brand new repainted coach.
we were only able to repaint a coach every 6 to 10 weeks due to the amount of work and man power available. it was a bit like painting the forth bridge, you get the end and have start all over again.
Any news about producing the bridge for people to buy?
Once again fantastic work :icon_thumbsup2:
