  1. Hi, those parts are the.. i) Boiler Barrel ii) Firebox wrapper iii) Inner Smokebox wrapper iiii) Outer Smokebox wrapper The beading that you can see on the firebox wrapper should hopefully line up nicely with the cab front sheet and the rear of the leading wheel splasher. One thing to note is that so far this kit has been designed for Scale7, however if it all goes together as I hope, I can produce a fine scale add-on etch. I should also be able to do an add on to make a D16/2 with the belpaire firebox. JB.
  2. Hi, no tender just yet, Im hoping someone out there may have made the tender already, but if not I shall try and find some drawings to make one up. Shouldn't be too taxing after doing the loco. JB,
  3. Great repair job on the Dean goods.. like that ! JB.
  4. HI Richard, I have built two of these kits now, although the 7mm version which was an upscale of the LRM kits. Not a bad kit at all, though i don't envy you doing the part where the front frames fit to the smokebox saddle... JB.
  5. Very nice Tony, The backhead is a work of art ! JB.
  6. Hi all, been a while since I was on here last. I thought this may interest one or two though. Its been well over two years in the making drawing, but finally today I have sent off the artwork to get these etched, and I can't wait to get the sheets through the door to crack on with building. I'm hoping to have it built by the Bristol GOG show, if not before. If it all goes together as well my brain thinks it will, it should be a pretty quick build. There is a lot of 'proof of concept' in here to really aid in accuracy/speed/keeping things square. JB.

By far best layout at the show! JB.
  8. P.s. The J15 really needs the speed curve on the DCC chip adjusting, so please excuse the 0-60mph starts. JB.
  9. Many thanks Barry, we had a great weekend, and hope to be turning around any preconceptions of Scale7. Likewise, Sherton Abbas was by far my favourite layout of the show. Beautiful modelling, and operation too which is hugely important in my view. I have attached a fine video as found on YouTube from the weekend for those that weren't able to attend. I really must make more effort to take further video next time as we have a great deal of stock that didn't get filmed. For anyone who would like to see the layout we may be at a little show around 50 miles north-west of London in May 2020. Love Lane 1 Lone Lane 2 JB.
  10. Hi all, had a great day today at Warley. It's our first outing as well as the railways, and went as well as we'd hoped. The odd bit of trouble here and there due to a very uneven floor, but plan to rectify this tomorrow morning before the show opens. Hope you all had a good day. JB.
  11. Does that mean that Love Lane is essentially Heathrow Terminal 1/2/3? JB.
  12. Looks like the ex-ECJS Clerestory will make it to the ball. I've been battling to get this finished for the last week or so and will be in primer within a couple of days. JB.
  13. I'm sure I read somewhere that a Class 37 is turning up too.. JB.
  14. You and us, both!! Think ive been non-stop finishing stock for Love Lane for around 3 weeks, and the next two will be pretty busy too... I'm sure it'll be worth it at 9.30 on the Saturday morning.. JB.
  15. Can't wait to see it Giles, I just hope I get some free time away from operating Love Lane to have a wander round. JB.
  16. Thanks Phil, even busier for our layouts first outing at Warley then 'if' the TV show mentions the Warley show. JB.
  17. Hi all, very disappointed by some of the earlier negative comments, don't let them bring the rest of us down though. However, onwards and upwards. At the begining of the program it suggests that the 'the final' layout will be exhibited at the UK's most prestigious railway show, or something like that. Is this likely to be Warley? If so its going to be a very busy event! JB.
  18. Hi all, Looking forward to our first outing with Love Lane. JB.
  19. Be nice to put a smoke unit in the coal pusher?? JB.
  20. Well, it is a Thompson engine, but no, it's a B2. JB.
  21. It's only the tender and loco trailing wheels that have the smaller axles. The driving wheels still have the 3/16" axles. JB.
