  1. I didnt know there was an industrial area! I'm sure there is so much Ive missed on here with all the sub headings etc... I shall take a look.
  2. Hi Peter, Good to see the progress, its good to see pics of work in progress. If anything comes through the tunnel in the last picture then I think they will be screwed!! Cheers Scott
  3. Hello, They have been a while coming but here are a few more pictures of Coleborne Junction, as yet the track plan has not been done. This is due to the busy life of all involved, it was the first time I had been to clubnight for a while, but at least I remembered my camera. Progress continues, with the shed almost finished, the tunnel mouth and bridge at the far end complete and now the high street is starting to be built. There is no particular order for these photos but I have taken a couple of long range ones so you should be able to work out most of the track plan for yourself. Any questions then please feel free to ask. I'm hoping the Coleborne crew will pluck up the courage soon and assist. If not I will post pictures of them! I have to say that most of the work is doen by them so its only fair they take any credit or indeed constructive feedback...
  4. First time I have looked at this thread, some cracking pictures on here, must review all the other pages now... Aren't 37's great... When I get home I shall check my photos and see if I can add to this.. Cheers Scott
  5. Supurb Leon, it looks great! Nice to see the 37's, I currently have 4 but in a completely different colour.... more on that later. Ive been thinking about backscenes, it has to be the weakest part of my layout, especially as at the moment its a piece of hardboard painted blue... Your efforts have sold it to me I think.... Just need the right one. Thats the next challenge. Cheers Scott
  6. Sorry Leon, yes I dis see your comment about Poole... Sandbanks is only about 10 mins from my house.. Its funny, its on my door step but hardly ever go there.... In fact I might take the boys there tomorrow for a walk and some fresh air. I would echo guys comment, what site was it please. Ive looked at CG textures before but don't recall those images so I would be interested to know. Mrs is out so the 60 will be coming into th ehouse for some work... Cheers Scott
  7. The backscene looks great Leon, is that the one you had mentioned before? Seems made for your layout.. Seeing your 60 has made me get my 60078 out and re-apply EWS Beastie stickers, going to try and weather it myself and add teh pipes etc... Thanks for taking the time to keep putting up the pictures. 8. Hi Leon, 2 fiddle yards, you must feel spoilt, so much more operating potential. The photos continue to look good, I understand your frustrations with your train lengths, maybe its time to change to "N".. If I had a rake of TTA's then I would happily swap, I can only offer 6 weathered HEA's..! Do you have many steel wagons? I haven't trawled back through the 20+ pages only had a quick look at this one. Just thinking you could have a rake of railfreight OCA's (ive spotted 2 in the pics) with some Ten Commandment loads, you would get a few in your sidings... Keep up the good work mate, I always like to see your updates and pictures. Regards Scott
  9. Well thats another show under our belts, had a really good time at Wilton. Thanks Kevin for allowing me to be part of the team. Thanks also for letting the monster make an appearance in the last half hour... It was good to have a chat with lots of interested and interesting people, from the very young to the very old. Leaford performed well, I wiah the same could be said for Temeraire (Ian) and I.. Sunday means Engineering! The yard started to fill up as the day went on. The last half an hour was play time or should that be route learning! Ugly Betty arrives on time. It was soon parked up out of the way! Just need Howes to do a sound chip now.. Thanks for a good weekend Leaford Crew.. Cheers Scott
  10. Ah, welcome back Kevin, I trust you had a lovely time. I'm looking forward to Wilton. Shame I wont have any spending money! See you Friday evening.. Please say hello if anyone does come along, its always nice to put a face to a name. Cheers Scott
  11. Nice work Leon, I have to agree with Guy, the picture of the 37's is great. Cheers Scott
  12. http://www.fire-engine-photos.com/picture/number20033.asp may be of some help. Cheers Scott
  13. Has decided to scrap the current layout! There will be a new one on the cards..

  14. Hi Leon, I have been a bit quiet but I have been looking. Your stock levels are looking good now, the last batch of photos showing the sidings give a good feel to the whole layout. Plenty of shunting for 019.
  15. Morning, I'm up and heading for basingstoke shortly (via kevins). Looking forward to another good day. As Ian has said, please say hello and don't worry if we are talking. We are probably only taking the pi$$ out of each other. We do like to have a laugh and enjoy ourselves. Despite the look of concentration on our faces! Cheers Scott
  16. Nice vids Paul! You obviously werent watching closely when i was operating.. It did get better as the day went on Honest.
  17. I'm going to have to check my garage Leon, I could have sworn I left 09019 in the headshunt at Eastbury! It's a good loco you can't go wrong with it. Nice picture update too.
  18. Hi Leon, The shunter info sounds very interesting. I haven't done much this week, too busy with work and a day trip to France. I have fitted lights to my Railtrack DMU, just trying to sort the light bleed though. Cheers Scott
  19. Today was my practice run for the Basingstoke show (11th and 12th March) I have operated Leaford before but not since the automation has been completed. I have to say its genius, it was a bit weird first off with trains moving and points changing without the human touch but after half an hour of playing practicing I didn't even notice the passenger services coming and going. I was able to concentrate on my favourite part, Shunting wagons. Kevin did give me a intoduction into the world of automation on the laptop and I now know where the STOP button is should it all go wrong if I'm left on my own. Looking forward to the show, I will be there saturday morning and all day Sunday, im the one without the beard and hair. B) So feel free to say hello although I haven't quite mastered talking and concentrating. Its one or the other. Thank goodness for automatic trains! Thanks Kevin Regards Scott
  20. Nice new batch of photos Leon, they do show a good view of the space available to you, the details are coming on well too, the green tank in the last few pictures looks familiar. Have you been shopping at Unit models again. Lighting looks good as well, I was going to have non working lights on mine but it was suggested that they look good illuminated even during the day and your pictures have confirmed it. Guess I will be putting working light sin then on mine. Cheers Scott
  21. Nice pictures Jo, Funnily enough I saw 08032 today, not at Merehead but at Eastleigh works. Cheers Scott
  22. Hi Peter, you are not alone, I have lost interest here too. to many other things going on at the moment. I'm sure it will pass. 33 looks good by the way, I tried to weather one of mine and failed miserably, I expect thats one of the reasons why I have lost interest as well. Off to Leaford at the weekend so that will hopefully kick start my enthusiasm... Cheers Scott
  23. Hi, Sorry for the delay in replying, been away for a few days.. There will be more pictures in the near future, susch as the station area, and the owner of the layout is sorting out a track plan. There will be s shed Kris, as explained above, the grooves are where it goes but its away being detailed at the moment and I have been reliably informed that it may be away for a while. Lets hope the weather stays fine for the fitters! Olddudders, thanks for your comments, the sweeping curves do look good when 4 trains are travelling on them. Thanks for taking the tiem to view and comment, I must express though that this is not my layout, I am just one of the helpers and I use that term loosely, there are two others that help a lot more than I do, I see myself more as an annoyance! There is a break of two weeks for holidays but when we are back on I will sort out the above requests. Cheers Scott
