  1. I'm planning a trip out on Friday and was wondering if any of you wonderful people know if 70002 is still hanging out in the Bristol area? I feel the urge to hunt it down like the Yeti.... Cheers scott
  2. When I finally sort out a visit I shall bring some bits up with me. I'll also bring a bin so if you throw anything else out I will recycle it.
  3. I knew it would be popular HH, it just oozes quality, and its also a great layout to watch for ages, as I did at Wimborne... Almost to the point of becoming obsessive. lol I even showed these pics to my other half who actually complemented it! That is an achievment as normally she calls them stupid dumb trains! She also threw down the gauntlet saying "your's will never look that good", now that is a challenge. I know she's right but I'm determined to have a good go.. Have you considered letting EWS run wild on it?? My sound fleet is growing. Scott
  4. At Last, Well done PaulRHB for the hassling! Glad to see you have finally taken the plunge HH, I'm sure it will be popular. Great photos. Cheers Scott
  5. I'm liking the look of this one, what a great era to model. I had many a fond day at Newport watching the trains go by. Remember we all like pictures here so feel free to post lots.... Cheers Scott
  6. Any chance of seeing some photos of your efforts, I'm sure there are people on here who would like to see them... Me being one of them..
  7. I like the "Ugly Betty" look, but then I liked the Colas livery when it first came out.. There's no accounting for taste. Looking forward to seeing them in the flesh. 70001 was moved to Lawley Street by 66585 (info from WRgen) 70002 still at Stoke Gifford Cheers Scott
  8. Hi, yes I thought I would have a look, I remember it when it was in the hands of shedmaster, the DRS stuff looks good.

  9. Having seen your previous efforts on the former RMweb I am sure this will be just as good, spookily enough I have just read the article on Invergeachy, I was going through my old MR's, looking for inspiration for my new layout. I currently have my track loosley laid out in a similar style to it but in OO. Cheers
  10. There's a hell of a lot going on in that first picture, great place to go spotting... I know its been said numerous times but this is a great looking layout and although I have never seen it in the flesh its rated as one of the best in my eyes. I like the look of the the new Dapol fleet too. cheers Scott
  11. I have always liked the idea of Southampton, plenty of stock choice. The layout itself looks really good, I especially like the station building... I think I will have to hunt down some more pictures of it, could be a contender for my layout too.. Or an adapted one... cheers Scott Would you believe it, the station is discontinued, can't find one anywhere...
  12. Good layout you have there mate, the warehouse bit at the back above the retaining wall reminds me a bit of Eastleigh works. My only criticism would be that your wiring is far to neat and tidy! Good website too. Cheers Scott
  13. Looking good David, I have always liked the idea of a layout with Weymouth features. If your previous work is anything to go by then it should be ready in no time and look fantastic. Are you available for hire? I need a hand with ideas and development for my OO layout . lol.. Cheers Scott (a fellow Dorsetshire person)
  14. Good to see you have taken the blog plunge, the shunter is coming along nicely, I can never seem to get the cab off of mine, whats the secret? Cheers Scott
  15. Nice looking locos Mark, the NSE ones are also very appealing to me now... If only they were still regulary running on the mainline.
  16. Well I don't have any 50's on my fleet. But thats not to say I don't want any. I would like to have 50043 in large logo livery. The reason behind that is that used to have the lima version many years ago and it was a cracking runner and was the pride of my fleet. I also remember as a young lad going to Salisbury station hoping that a 50 would be stabled in the bay by the carpark, it used to be an awesome sight. So all I need to do is buy a Hornby one and renumber it, and weather it to a almost end of life look. It sounds so simple when I type it out, why haven't I done it before now?? I'm sure I will return to this thread for hints and tips on improvements. Any chance of some more photos? Cheers Scott (off to do the hoovering now!)
