New forum - new beginings. Lauthern Junction is intended to be a 'vignette' of a junction on a mainline with a freight spur. Portable and located in our spare room it's main purpose is to practise track building skills and provide a 'short' run for my stock as it is detailed and weathered. The leassons learnt will then be carried forward into a larger EM gauge layout when we move house circa late 2010/2011. And then Clay Cross or Aldwarke Junction ??¦.dream on......... Back to the plan ??“ both main lines in FB rail with concrete sleepers including the crossover (too modern for the time period?) Branch and loop in BH with wooden sleepers. Just the 2 signals required I think but I will revisit this when I have had chance to ???swot up??™ on signalling. BTW ??“ can anyone point me in the direction of a ???signalling for dummies guide??™ so I can have a crack at working out what is required? Signal box located at the outside of the junction so the branch can be viewed ??“ correct? Will try and capture the look / feel of the junction here SB layout For the signal on the loop at A I??™m going to try and mirror the layout here at Treeton Signal Ref the loop to the branch ??“ should this be protected at either end by catch points? Ant assistance ref the points above would be appreciated ??¦..and then on to constructing the boards.
