Cheers Steve, still looking for my open door out of retail! It's true what they say about the people making a job though, there's been a few "good guys" behind me with this.

  2. has been spraying yellow, blue and rubine red for the last few weeks. I'd better get the transfers finished...

  3. has had enough of sand/fill/sand/fill/sand/remove too much plastic.....fill the new problem. Repeat to fade...

Just wait to you get to the painting stage! Prime, sand, prime, fill area that only shows up after priming, sand, prime, top coat. Notice its wrong shade, start over.....!

  4. has had the brainwave and realised that weird little cutout on a class 60 cab side is a handrail and the top of the plough is a step. Neat design Brush!

  5. has lost the tv remote. I don't know how, I had it before tea,,,

Ah, BD typed at the same time as I did! I'm sure I already checked where I found it. I blame the cats...

  6. Hi Michel - U-turn? Given your love of the proper EMDs, how about Westbury or the quarries as a basis? ;-)

  7. Homebrew beer. hic. :-D

  8. I never realised the welded rail trains could be self propelled!

  9. I was sceptical, but the ipad ain't too shabby. A bit clunky in the menus, and how do I close an app? Google here I come.......

  20. Managed to snap the fluid nozzle on the airbrush earlier...15 quid for a replacement tiny bit of brass. Replacement on the way, along with a load of masking tape, Flexi-files and brushes nearly fifty quid later.... :-)

  21. Masking Colas orange/yellow over a class 47 bodyside door. Fun, I think not! We'll see how it fares later on...

  23. My least favourite part of respraying a Farish 60...painting the light clusters black always seems to take far longer than it should

      newbryford

      Same for a Hornby 60!

    2. Steadfast

      Steadfast

Much larger area on that though! It's a shame all the current liveries have black light clusters. The masked and sprayed NRN aerials (at the same time as the grills) came out nicely though, much easier than brushing!

  24. Mythbusters meets breaking bad. Ohhhhhh yeah!
