  1. Just looked at the C+L site, 500 3 bolt chairs £27.50, you telling me they cost this much to make?, and i noticed a lot of the other stuff has shot up in price as well. Was going to start a new layout this year, but at the price he is asking, that will not happen.
  2. At a nominal £27.50 per 500 C+L chairs, my gads they have shot up in price!, how can they justify this cost. How can such small bit of plastic cost this much, problem is no one else seem to make them, so he has the market cornered.
  3. Love this bit in the Article .Finally, the engineering advances has meant that the time getting a product to market has decreased, it took a year back in the 70’s. Today, give me a subject and the motivation and I could get it to market in 6 months.
  4. "The only way out I see is for Hornby to cut off all spare parts, so when ours break..their broken, eventually attrition may force us to buy new." I know i would not be happy spending over £150.00 for a loco and it going pop in a year, also with the short runs would you be able to obtain another one?.
  5. At least it will give a level playing field for other shops, by not dropping a load of stock at a few shops, so a good thing.
  6. One question, the rods have been painted in a strange brown spray. If you look at these two photo the rods are oily steel, just look like the loco has sat in Barry for a while. Darren
  7. Do we have a price for these points yet, or did i miss it somewhere in this thread?.

  9. What happened to the door handles gone, was looking at getting one.
  10. Happened at a shop near me, Hornby put there prices up so did they, on models that had been sitting on the selves for some time. Funny thing is a lot of it is still there and they will probably do the same again.
  11. It amazes me that you can buy an O gauge loco for the same price as some oo stuff.
  12. Just one thing did you cut the rail before the buffer stop?. if not your going to end up with a short on that track.
  13. Question is will everyone that ordered them still be getting one?, What if they don't get enough coming back for the models to be relased?. Hope not. Also I am a little confused with his bit in the email "and Third coach and will be priced at £129.99.", So is one coach £129.99?.
  14. Been busy the last year or so with a bit of non railway modelling and myself and my brother did this, The Battle of Aspern Essling 1809. Painted over 3000 figs and my brother did most of the work on the Battle field, All the figures are 15mm AB. Darren
  15. First time in nearly a year not ordering any new loco and then this little one, well have to have one!.
  16. I must add these are not the new one's. Darren
  17. Hi I have eleven Ivartt tanks and the other day i was runinng one of the on my test track. It ran forward ok, but when i sent it into revarse it locked up, took it off to have a look and found the chasse had dropped and had a crack in it. Around the crack was a white powder?, checked my other ones and found three that where showing signs of the white powder on the chasse. . Another one has a small crack running across from the cylinders again with his white powder along the crack. I am getting a bit worried that more of them will do this, all the models are keept in stock box and i placed gel pack that absorbs moisture in a dry room. What is happening to my Ivartt's ?. Darren
  18. Had a similar experience at The WSR a few years ago, walked along the coach to find a seat ,as the train was very busy. Opened the end coach door and came face to face with the smoke box of Braunton, reported it to the guard on the train.
  19. Had to have a larugh that Hornby where offering the hoods, so they can pop it on the model. So if you get the hood its still a railroad one.
  20. So this model is of the old Railroad tooling, so popping a hood on makes it a brand new tooling?. Or is it an old tooling with a new tooled hood, still lost here.
