Well, it's all over for another year. Thanks once again to everybody involved - the exhibitors, traders, helpers and visitors. The feedback has been positive however, the numbers through the door were a bit worrying. Last year was down on 2015 and yesterday was quite a bit down on last year. OK, we were competing with the weather but my experience as an exhibitor at other shows this year has been much the same. Maybe it's a symptom of the state of the hobby. My car is also loaded but not with a layout - trestles that somebody wants to borrow, some books that are being sold, a loco and some stock that has been bought, all the "admin" stuff. In some respects, I wish it was a layout - exhibiting is a lot less stressful than organising! By the way - if anybody happens to be in the vicinity around 8pm tonight, a hand to move chairs, mark out, etc would be very much appreciated.

This is the 8th show and so I suppose I was guilty of assuming (yes, I know...!) that people knew where it was. I can only suggest that anybody who needs any more info visit the website - www.tvnam.co.uk - where you should find all you need to know.

The cost increase is to do with price restructuring. For those that know the venue, the small room by the entrance was always included in the cost but they have now decided to charge it separately which when it is included with the price increase earlier this year means a 50% increase on last year.

I know it's been very remiss of me but I haven't posted anything about the show - my apologies. As it's less than 2 weeks away I guess you might say it's a bit late - however, better late than never. Anyway, it is Saturday 17th June at the usual venue, from 10am to 4pm. Admission is still £6 although I got a shock this week when I went to pay for the venue and found the cost has gone up by 50%! Free parking and refreshments available. I have just got home after a very enjoyable 2 days exhibiting Midland, Ohio. Many thanks to Alex and everybody involved for another excellent show.

Something I should have mentioned above - I will most likely be on my own at Derby so if anybody is there and wants to have a play and give me a break......

Midland packed in the car ready for the short trip to Derby for this weekend's show. Sadly, it will be its last outing for me. After much agonising I have decided to sell it, mainly to free up much needed storage and work space in the garage. So, come and see us at Derby - who knows, you might get smitten and make an offer!

Andrew - 11ft x 20 inches is the visible part with a 5ft single track fiddle siding bolted on. Hope this helps.
