Hi Rob Six of the class retained green in to 1969 D810 Cockade D824 Highfyer, D833 Panther D845 Sprightly D852 Tenacious D854 Tiger D808 Centaur & D810 Cockade were the only two to receive full yellow ends while still green.........I think D810 was the last Swindon build of all to retain green & was painted blue in May 1970 (I have some spare Cockade plates if you want them) D845 Sprightly was the last I think to be painted from GSYP to blue in February 1970 Phill PS My next one will probably be D832 Onslaugth MFYE.....although I also fancy D815 Druid & 829 Magpie (829 which was reinstated from withdrawal & ran for a while without plates)

A few more pics of the line this time featuring D824 Highflyer, this loco is modeled circa 1969 when she was the last GSYP Swindon Warship running........ & a couple more of D1041 Western Prince in the condition that I remember her...... D1041 Western Prince again, this time approaching Burns Tunnel....... Cheers Phill

Thanks CME, I have enjoyed putting the PW train together & will post more details on it's construction as time permits......like most of my projects it has been a very low budget affair using other people's junk lol. I have not forgot about the weathering guide eithet, I will post details soon. Could you provide a link to your wagon weathering details too? All the best Phill

Yes, I agree with CME, I'm sure it looks fine without the cruel close ups.......If you still need to do the other end why not use a number 1 in the number side as it will be much easier to squeeze in

How did you end up doing the metal details on the peak noses Rob?

Any chance you can PM, Vibre, email or direct me to any engine room window pics you have used mate? Phill

Nice work Rob, are you casting the engine theaters or scatchbuilding the lot?
-
Both my R/C Westerns are now running Rob, I'm very interested in the working lights on yours & would love to see some pics of the gubbins

Thanks for that Andyman7, what a pity the current crop of lorry's are 1/50 rather than 1/43, I love the Corgi Classics range of cars too, as you may have noticed from the over-populated station car park ..........I have toyed with the idea of a Motor Rail service as an excuse for more 1970's classics Cheers Phill

Great to hear from you on here Afraid I have got a little distracted by the prospect of R/C Westerns & Warships, but I will finish the station building as soon as they are done. Really pleased you like the station so far though, as I always value your advice & opinions on the Withercome line Cheers Phill

If Steve does full lighting, I will get mine done as well mate. My Westdale 121 would make ideal evening & off season passenger service.....keep me posted

Will you light the passenger area with LED's too Rob? Phill
