  1. Here's a short film called 'Return To Withercombe' which I did in the summer of 2013, this flim features my Westdale 121 DMU ...... Cheers Phill
  2. It would be great if you could post details of how you weathered that rusty mineral of yours including underframes?......perhaps on your workbench?
  3. Thanks CME, I have enjoyed putting the PW train together & will post more details on it's construction as time permits......like most of my projects it has been a very low budget affair using other people's junk lol. I have not forgot about the weathering guide eithet, I will post details soon. Could you provide a link to your wagon weathering details too? All the best Phill
  4. Yes, I agree with CME, I'm sure it looks fine without the cruel close ups.......If you still need to do the other end why not use a number 1 in the number side as it will be much easier to squeeze in
  5. This summer earthworks around Burns Tunnel has seen a permanent way train stabled at Withercombe overnight. I managed to get some pics of it's departure for more work further down the branch........... Later in the afternoon Hymek D7100 was seen returning the stock to Withercombe...... Cheers Phill
  6. How did you end up doing the metal details on the peak noses Rob?
  7. Any chance you can PM, Vibre, email or direct me to any engine room window pics you have used mate? Phill
  8. Nice work Rob, are you casting the engine theaters or scatchbuilding the lot?
  9. Yes your Crewbus gave me lots of inspiration .......I hope you will post some stuff here (we seem to fit in here better these days) All the best Phill
  10. You certainly can CME ........but only if you give us a guide to your superb wagon weathering techniques? Phill
  11. Both my R/C Westerns are now running Rob, I'm very interested in the working lights on yours & would love to see some pics of the gubbins
  12. I think your probably right, they were always something special for me back in my spotting days
  13. Thanks for that Andyman7, what a pity the current crop of lorry's are 1/50 rather than 1/43, I love the Corgi Classics range of cars too, as you may have noticed from the over-populated station car park ..........I have toyed with the idea of a Motor Rail service as an excuse for more 1970's classics Cheers Phill
  14. That looks really nice Neil ....I think that I may have got a little carried away with Hymeks, my rosta is D7013GFYE, D7017BFYE, D7022BFYE, D7036BSYP & D7054GSYP
  15. Great to hear from you on here Afraid I have got a little distracted by the prospect of R/C Westerns & Warships, but I will finish the station building as soon as they are done. Really pleased you like the station so far though, as I always value your advice & opinions on the Withercome line Cheers Phill
  16. If Steve does full lighting, I will get mine done as well mate. My Westdale 121 would make ideal evening & off season passenger service.....keep me posted
  17. Will you light the passenger area with LED's too Rob? Phill
  18. Hi Just a couple of pics to add ........ D1041 Western Prince, I'm still messing about with the chassis for this one & those 'Omen' whitemetal bench kits I mentioned in my last post, they have been primed & given a coat of Games Workshop green ........ I am very pleased with these & I will get some more of them.......incidentally having searched everywhere for 7mm concrete station nameboards without success , I scatchbuilt the one in the pic from plasticard scrap & some Slater's plastic letters Phill
  19. Absolutely ! No more pics today, although I have been busy adjusting the chassis for D1041, so that hopefully D1054 can share this chassis in Radio Control mode .......I have also painted some rather nice Omen LSWR platform benches & some Skytrex ones too, then my long suffering passengers will at least have somewhere to sit while they wait for a ride behind D1041 Western Prince Hopefully a few more pics to follow soon Cheers Phill
  20. Glad to see your getting one of the Westerns done, I have been tweaking the Western R/C chassis after work today & yesterday the Warships have all been running on the R/C chassis. Phill
  21. Have they decided on prices for the Warship & 25?..........Heljan are getting quite expensive IMO
