Morning All. The oktas are leaking again hereabouts which has put paid to any golf this morning. Seem to have a blip in the mojo on the modelling front which hasn't been helped by the failure of my favourite Dapol N gauge Brittania yesterday. Runs perfectly backwards but will only crawl forwards and if given more than half throttle shorts out. Oh bu**er!! Beautiful model that has (up till now) run faultlessly but looking at the wiring inside is really scary. If this is the standard of Chinese soldering I'm never travelling on a plane, train or anything else that is built in China! Something has gone phtttt so it's back to the retailer it goes. Grrr. Morning All, Looks as though the sun is going to burn off the last of the oktas fairly soon. I suppose that means I have no excuse not to cut the grass. Hopefully my mate will finish work early and ring up with an urgent call to the golf course. That might save the day! First up though is to submit an objection to a local planning application. Morning All, Sun is shining, what's wrong? After having a check up recently it seems I could do to lose a few pounds. Although thinking about it the nurse claimed I measured 5'7" which is taller than I have ever been! I'm going to assume she was not good with numbers and ignore all the measurements she took. Morning All, All oktas in place and leaking. Very glad I unloaded the layout from the car and stowed it away in the shed yesterday evening! Not sure what the plan of action for today is but it looks like daughters bike has yet another puncture so I suspect some assistance with that will be called for. Morning Afternoon Evening All, What is this "work" concept of which so many speak? I was employed for many years but I'm not sure I would classify most of what I did as work! Morning All, Plenty of oktas in evidence but at least they aren't leaking. Managed to get a round of golf in yesterday evening once the rain stopped but it was getting pretty dark by the time we finished. I have enough trouble finding the ball normally without a lack of light! I suspect not many evening golf sessions left this year. Where did the summer go? Packing up Cramdin Yard for a trip to Worthing this weekend is what is on the agenda for this afternoon. I always have a dread of leaving something crucial behind or losing something. SWMBO has gone to work and sundry children have gone off in a huff after having been "spoken" to regarding coming in at late hours and waking others of us up. I seem to remember last time I was on the RAT the only thing left was Betty Stoggs and it was a struggle to help them clear that up. Anyway you always winge about real ale! I wonder if Gordon's rental company will notice the slight stain on the driver's seat where a tractor pulled out in front of us while we were taking a little pootle through the countryside?
