Mallaig and the Road To The Isles
Kylestrome replied to mallaig1983's topic in Modelling real locations
I agree that you definitely need to go more in the direction of green to represent deeper sea water. The shoreline is rocky so there's not much white sand around Mallaig itself. -
Mostly Harmless.

Looks more like a dead cat to me ...

What, and where, was the Irn Bru clock (asking for a sassenach)?

I suppose this is what they mean by "fly-by-wire"?
-
Obviously not, but the OP seemed to be viewing it from a different angle. There is nothing amusing about WW2 bombs being found. It‘s something that happens almost monthly here in this part of Germany.

I‘m not quite sure what there is to :) about there.

I took the car out for a spin today. It frightened the life out me ...

It got leaked before publication?

Blame it on AI ...

A freind of mine started a poultry farm but he soon found himself in a chicken and egg situation.

I once thought of being a plumber but it was only a pipe-dream.

I tried to be a comedian but it was all a bit of a joke.

That joke was short enough to be considered a wee joke.

Which usually results in a riposte.

One way of stopping bogie vehicles from rocking is to add two stabilising pins (in this case screws) to one of the bogies. This allows the bogie to rotate, to compensate for track undulations, but stops the body from wobbling side-to-side. Kylestrome’s 4mm Workbench
Kylestrome replied to Kylestrome's topic in Kitbuilding & Scratchbuilding
Thanks for the info. It makes a pleasant change to find a useful Flickr I haven't already seen. David PS. I must get around to finishing that Class 20! -
If I was a Scot, I'd resemble that remark!

You‘re absolutely right, and it‘s been on my ‚to do‘ list for far too long already. 😐 David

RGB Wagons These three wagons have just emerged from my spray booth. They'll be used for transporting bulk monitor pixels ... 🙄 David- 167 replies

Kylestrome’s 4mm Workbench

BR Grain Hoppers These two Bachmann wagons, which I started to detail years ago, are finally complete. https://www.rmweb.co.uk/forums/topic/118922-kylestrome’s-4mm-workbench/?do=findComment&comment=3055698 Since then they have received, replacement footsteps, tie bars and brake levers plus the usual P4 wheelsets and Dingham couplings. The Whitemetal vacuum pipes seemed like a good idea, when I started using them, but these, and several more on other wagons, have been broken off in the general rough-and-tumble of operating the layout. I fear I may have to start refurbishing all of my vacuum-fitted wagons with my home-grown wire pipes. They will join my 'eighties' wagon fleet, which I'm now working on expanding. David- 167 replies
