  1. According to Anglia News 11 " carriages " have come off the track. Never realised containers carried passengers..........
  2. He is talking about CV settings Mick, not your age
  3. No Carl, I just build all the woodwork, control panel, electrics, tracklaying and some if the scratch built buildings.
  4. George W and Richard Coleman (Part Time ) and myself have finally commenced the challenge layout for Lyddrail 2017. The boards were constructed and track laying were all done in my garage. Due to work and other commitments the layout will NOT be completed in time for the show but all track and some scenics will be done in time.
  5. Sorry Terry I was out tonight but I see that Nick has answered your question
  6. You could always take over my role if you like. Also Andy Forty who co owns DCC supplies is the Technical Director of Dapol.
  7. Please note that it is not now 100% that Dapol will be here, the original idea was that DCC Supplies would have a Showcase of models on their stand. I do not know if this is now happening. However I am in discussion with Dapol and there is a very good chance that they will be at DEMU from 2018 with their own stand.
  8. The hall will be open from 3.30 for exhibitors and traders
  9. BUMP Just a small reminder that the UK's premier modern image ( Diesel and Electric ) layouts Model railway exhibition will soon be upon us. Come to Burton on Trent to see the very best in British railway modelling, an extensive list of layouts of various gauges, traders, manufacturers and demonstrations. Saturday 3rd June and Sunday 4th June 2017. Burton on Trent Town Hall
  10. Usually lot of parking available in the surrounding roads, or the car park ( payment required ) behind the venue.
  11. Due to the General Election on the 8th June, Burton on Trent town hall have informed the Showcase team that one of the rooms used for the Showcase event will not be available for use. This means that we have unfortunately had to postpone the following two layouts until next year: 1/. Deadmans Lane by Mick Bryan 2/. Alderford by Carl Bowden. ( TBC at present ) This is a major disappointment to us and of course to the layout owners. As you can imagine we are not happy about this situation and we thank the layout owners for their understanding in the matter, and look forward to welcoming them in 2018. The premier Diesel & Electric show will still have many eye watering layouts to view, so come along... you won't be disappointed!
  12. George, I will invite one of "YOUR" layouts soon I'm sure..............
  13. Looking great Steve, see you in a couple of weeks.
  14. Photo courtesy of Towcester Fire Station as their water carrier appliance was called to this incident along with 5 other appliances this afternoon. Unfortunately just can't make out the number.
  15. Amazingly well, and the layout was not covered in wagons!!!
  16. Somewhere near Brent I think.............
  17. It's funny how it's the N Gauge modellers making fun of me, perhaps its because they are used to handling small things
  18. You obviously haven't worked out why I'm called nobby.......
  19. There is also Bum Biters Monthly but we don't know when they plan to do the article......
  20. Now I've joined the realms of the unemployed due to the fact I've had to close down the European operations of the company I worked for perhaps I could build a tree or something..............
  21. Looking good Steve. Certainly not an IP like some of the layouts on here...........
  22. Thanks to Mick for posting this: UPDATE: Ebsworth Street will not be attending this year, this is not the fault of the layout owner but the venues owners. Also Richard Colemans ( cobbler on RMWeb ) layout is called Cripple Sidings and not Cripple Lane.
  23. Thank you to everyone who has answered my question.
