The emphasis is on quality and Railex has some very large layouts that are not normally seen at other shows. A free vintage bus will run from Aylesbury railway station carpark to RAILEX and return up to every half hour Saturday and every hour on Sunday. Up to two children can be admitted free with each paying adult on Sunday only. Gordon & Maggie Gravett’s Pempoul will be making its last appearance before being retired from the exhibition circuit, while Martin Stringer’s Tollesbury Quay will be making a very rare exhibition appearance. Giles Favell will debut at Railex his new layout Denton Brook, add to this the other layouts and it looks like another top quality show. Allowing local modellers to display their layouts and model making. 9 layouts, trade support and demonstrations, light refreshments will be available including LOTS of HOMEMADE CAKES

Demonstrations and displays of club projects will cover baseboard construction, track laying, scenery, electrics, layout research, kit-building, detailing and weathering in a variety of scales from N through 00, 4mm finescale to 7mm. Only disabled car parking places are available at the Community Centre, therefore all other visitors are required to park in the Mount Carpark in Stratton Road (Follow brown Leisure Centre signs to just past St. Mary's Church). Please note that this is pay and display. Half hourly bus service from Aylesbury or High Wycombe to Princes Risborough Town Centre, then 5min walk to Community Centre. 15 minute walk from Chiltern Railway station with regular trains from Birmingham, Banbury, Aylesbury or London Marylebone, 25 minutes drive from M40 Junction 6 via B4009.

The exhibition has disabled access. Up to two children can be admitted free with each paying adult on Sunday only. There is limited on site car parking at the stadium especially on the Saturday, so we recommend that you use the car parks in Aylesbury, the Friars Croft car park (£3 all day Saturday and £1 on Sunday) located in the town centre to the rear of Morrison’s and catch the free vintage bus from the railway station car park, which will also link up with Chiltern trains services from London Marylebone. There is also parking in Stoke Mandeville hospital adjacent to the stadium, but it is recommended that visitors use and use the vintage shuttle bus to the venue from the railway station car park, a time table will be posted on the website http://www.railex.org.uk .
