And Clondalkin in Dublin

Has anyone taken delivery of the Gaugemaster Pullman limited editions yet? Would love to see how they look!
-
Interesting, thanks lads. Keen to stay away from something that's been chavved up, which seems to be a fate that has befallen many of them. An early M5 (first or second generation) will always be the dream too!

Speaking about beemers do any of you know what a good E30 325i sport goes for in the UK these days? I'd love the two door tin top as I am a bit to big and hairy for a convertible! They were always a car I coveted but fear I missed the boat!

Did Zagato actually build the body work for that?
I think I’d prefer a 1960 Aston Martin Zagato, frankly.
Cheers, Pete.
Agreed, that's hideous. Looks like a Max Power reader won the lottery and thought it bought them taste.

Good to see the Irish getting in at last. However it looks as though the brake lever arm is in the on position in the Cad compared to the photo at the head of this topic.
All the best with the project.
Loconuts
The brake lever arm is on the list of corrections to be made Loconuts, it will be moved to the 'off' position! Thanks for the well wishes

How about a Mrs Brown one then?
Haha Agnes express!

Great news and one I will be fully supporting. Only one request is that the NEM housing is set at the correct height for the NEM Kadee coupling range. So many pieces of rolling stock have been a pain due to the incorrect height.
It's being kept in mind Gareth

Let's not rub that in.
We'll say no more. And sadly I have to rule out a commemorative Father Ted decorated wagon at this juncture!
-
That was quick!
We are quick workers over here Ivan as you know!

Happy days for Irish modellers!

This is a long shot, but worth a go!
Can any recommend, or point me in the direction of, a pre-purchase inspection company that covers the Republic of Ireland and classics please? The RAC offers a classic car inspection service in the UK, so I'm hoping for something similar. The Irish AA lists pre-purchase inspections, but they're not keen on looking at anything over 15 years old.
Something smart from 1979 has turned up in Donegal.
Cheers,
Pix
I don't know of any off hand but it would be worth checking for specialists in Northern Ireland as it would probably be closer to them than most specialists based here in the south. Just a thought.

Love the coaching stock Antony, scratchbuilt?
-
I'm already speechless.

Lovely work Kieran. I have a couple of JM's vans in stock and am looking forward to having a go with them soon. They make into fine models.

Excellent, one of my all time favourite layouts. Would love to see it in person someday. Looking forward to watching it progress!

One of the above does the same job.....around £300 or so, Dancover, from Denmark...excellent service & backup....survived an awful lot of gales too....allows a throughput of air, yet surprisingly, keeps stuff dry....only advise using the heaviest PVC cover they offer, however.
The one above is 6 metres long, too big for the car inside, so houses things like lawnmowers, logs, bits & bobs, etc...accessible from both ends, and wide & high enough to drive a Daihatsu Fourtrak through, from one end to the other...[just]....
After much mulling, decided it was the best option for me...since the ground it is on [well hardcored and gravelled] is sloping....so any sort of rigid, fixed shelter would have levelling issues...the Dancover does not!
Pretty cool that you have a class 66 in your garden.

Quite obviously an Allegro and by far the most advanced machine in that line up.
A frightening realisation!

The W124 was the last true Merc before the disastrous Daimler-Chrysler era and the rusty W210s.
Have they returned to peerless build quality again or are they still producing junk?
-
Cost of £25 has already been stated above so not as bad as you think. I have just ordered 8 for just under £200.
£25 for the weathered version, £24 for the pristine. Have ordered 7 myself and may add more. Hopefully we wont have to wait too long for them. Can't wait personally.

OH MY GOD!!!

The question is: did you get to drive the 50s?

Renowned for poor riding, average seats and corrosion...
Average seats is being kind. They're shocking.

Hi everyone,
We've made rapid progress in recent weeks with our 2nd project; the cement bubble wagon. There are still some tweaks to be made to the CAD but below is progress so far!
We will announce livery, price and availability shortly.
Thanks,
