  1. Rover 800 is temporarily out of stock, but I will be restocking it in the next month or so. Shapeways is very expensive and needless to say, that additional expense is all going to shapeways... With recent issues involving shapeways rejecting models after they have been ordered, I will be severely rationalising my range on there anyway.

  3. Hi Jon, I have the chassis, the bogies haven't come out too well, for the older models they need a bit of material filed away to fit. If you are interested let me know.
  4. Most of my customers have been using the Bachmann class 85 as there are alot of similarities between the 2 designs including the core dimensions for the chassis (bogie centres etc). Oh wow, that is looking fantastic!
  5. Good evening, Apologies, I managed to miss this. Yes, chassis and bogies are now in production and I have sold a batch of them through my ebay account. I will keep on restocking them when they run out though as there's quite a few out there with 195/6/7s that might want the chassis. In other news, the range continues to grow with a variety of additions including the class 81!
  6. Thanks for the plug. I have indeed just released a new batch of models and here is a photo of the prinered range all together! There's plenty more in the works electronically and physically at the moment.
  7. Thanks for the nudge on this all... So my plans are slowly but surely rumbling forwards. I have the G12 modelled in N gauge but haven't yet printed it as KCR isn't at the top of the to do list at the moment. I also have stumbled on some Kitson technical drawings for a loco very similar to the KCR Kitson tank engines and will be using this as the basis of a 3d model for printing of the original tank engines used on the line. My medium term plan is to then assemble a small rake of KCR stock including a converted Austerity, the G12 and Kitson.
  8. The Speaker is likely to blow a lid on parliament's return and I doubt he'll be in any mood for doing them favours. I do wonder how much protection that will offer 2a though. Given the farcical manner in which this has been delivered, I would be entirely unsurprised if they had failed to take this into account.
  9. HS2 is not ever going to go onto the Elizabeth line. The Elizabeth line and the 345s have been built specifically to operate with eachother, to build a high speed train within the design envelope of a class 345, can board/alight in a similar time frame and can operate with high speed and metro signalling systems would be a completely unrealistic set of compromises e.g. the crash protection structures required for high speed would eliminate the extreme doors. The Elizabeth line is already filling up at a very fast rate, it serves its routes and taking paths out to shoehorn in HS2 services would be a complicated disaster.
  10. Unfortunately it has the same rejection rate for all of the fine detail plastics. I would really like to get them printable in those smaller scales without affecting the detail too much but at the moment it is a bit of a step too far. I will however continue to review this and look at releasing some of my most popular models in the N scales.
  11. So the Wolseley 6 came out right at the start and I only had a handful... it is on the to be sorted shortly list with the 1800. Coupe only made it out in 1/80th as a not quite perfect due to an error on my behalf when scaling the model!
  12. Please note this is not my picture, I downloaded this from somewhere and I have tried to do a reverse image search but nothing came up. It may be from the facebook NCB vehicles group which has a lot of reference materials in it, if the original owner would like me to either credit them or take it down please let me know and I would be happy to oblige. I have been doing a fair bit of my own sleuthing into NCB vehicle fleets in the 1970s/80s recently for a railway I am planning. Most of their vehicle fleet appears to be 2/3/4 rigid axle tippers and flatbeds, with plenty of Leyland Terriers, Atkinsons and ERF B series. However, due to the enormous size of the fleets and wide geographic spread it looks like most commerical vehicles of the era made it into the NCB fleet at some point, with Ford D series, Bedford TKs, Leyland Octopii, Scammells, Fodens and more. It appears that much of the movement of kit was done using rigid 2 axle trucks but that is just from looking at what there are photos out there rather than first hand knowledge. The NCB did also use outside hauliers for work as well. As others have said, the mines rescue teams used these to pull generators and winders about. They were/are effectively an emergency service and for an underground mine to be legally allowed to operate there would have to be a mines rescue team within a certain distance. They could respond on blue lights to emergencies at mines and had a wide variety of vehicles to do so including transit vans, these Atkinsons and specialist coachbuilt stuff as well.   13. These particular prints are all 1/76, I sell some in different scales as well but 1/76th is my main range. They are indeed 4mm, the Rover 75 just needs a couple of more minor tweaks to its dashboard and how its chassis fits which dropped off my to do list. I will bump it back onto it and try to get them sorted in the next fortnight.

  16. Dolomite is on the longer term list, I'll get to it eventually and may do all of the other variants but it'll depend on demand. Montego is a car I am asked about nigh on weekly at the moment and will be done sooner rather than later. @BernardTPM it feels a little wrong doing the 6/110 my way when your one looks so nice and is close!

Having been involved in this incident professionally, I am limited to what I can say, but it is a real shame that this has trickled out in this format and not in the more comprehensive reports that have occurred on other occasions. The nuanced detail in any investigation often flushes out important information that is either not fully understood, emphasised or repeated by the media.
  19. I'll be watching with interest. The bogie height was increased after some requests for high bogies from the earlier models... I think I will be reverting back to my original heights though in the next batches. Good luck with the build, I have hit follow for this thread and I am looking forwards to seeing more of your excellent work.

  21. I've always had a bit of a blind spot when it comes to Networker drawings (remember... the 325 is a Networker in cab only!). 365 is something I'd consider doing if I could get hold of a decent set of drawings for them.
  22. Another couple of projects have got to the point where the prints can be shown to the world. This time,it is the 456 and 334 models... There's a few more as yet unreleased Mk3 EMUs to come and I am hoping to get the chance to fill in the rest of the "Juniper" range as well. The most obvious ones to do next would be the 458s but I have always had a soft spot the wild 460s as well. Before we get to that point though, there's another round of test prints and chassis trial prints for older models and more.
