How do I find out how much space I need for OO gauge layout of Salisbury.

Charwelton is 36’ long, if it had been constructed to actual scale by the original builders Wolverhampton MRC it would be 70+’ long but you can still have a really good representation I think at over half the length. -
Thank you and yes we have had quite a few discussions around NSE and if it would have reached Charwelton and beyond! An interesting thought about Daventry Parkway! Ps- please don’t mention class 50’s as we have enough trouble keeping them off running in the 80’s 😂😂 (on-going in house joke).

Working weekend a great success, layout wiring upgraded to the fiddle yard panel and getting the Ironstone branch working for redundant ballast workings just some of the jobs on the list!

With the fantastic news that we will be attending our home show this September (Darlington MRS) we are having a working weekend to fettle some issues from the last show and to upgrade the fiddle yard DCC panel connections! Photos from and during the weekend will hopefully follow! Here is another from the archive while you wait!-

One of our group has also picked up a copy and we used it to look into some headcodes etc.

One of the great parts of doing this project was the speculation of what would/should have been or would have actually happened if the line had stayed open! Those decisions had to be made by ourselves as a group (with or without the blessings of many opinions on both this and other forums) taking into consideration operational features of the layout and modifications needed to the layout that we inherited! Researching train headcodes and formations and flows using old timetables has also opened up a whole new world beyond model railways!

‘Freezing out in the shed tonight’ Great updates as always!! Ps- your shed temperature seems to mirror our club rooms at Darlington as the heating system has been condemned 🥶🥶😂😂 -
I think more drinking den than shop? Hansons brewery I believe.

I think they are all correct for “Charwelton into the 80’s’! -Might need a name/decade change to get your wish though 🤔🤔😜

Thanks for the tip! The spreadsheet is on a shared drive so each owner can update as required. The colour coding is for who is the owner and is replicated over the other 6 pages for coaching stock/revenue freight/NPCCS/Departmental/DMU (I edited screen shot down to remove personal details and other columns that weren’t relevant to the post).
