  1. I am going to have one as changing an iffy grille and fitting Laserglaze (when Brian does it for this loco) is not a particularly challenging project to create a loco that will be near as dammit an accurate class 24.
  2. Great news, that has made the decision to get one so much easier.
  3. As somebody who only has a 4ft long layout, please, please, please produce the power cars as a single rather than twin pack. There are a number of instances where one power car has operated on its own, or as in preservation where 41001 has worked with a production set.
  4. Please can somebody confirm if these are suitable for use with feedback controllers, I would hate to fry something!
  5. Really looking forward to seeing this at Yate, Dave and Matt have done a lovely job on this layout.
  6. It was post production editing, the real loco never actually carried the livery, there were also only 3 vans, the rest were edited in.
  7. The contact email is actually sales@railexclusive.com.
  8. In the ball park for what I would have expected, can't wait.
  9. Looks like the actual weighbridge is not long for this world as have heard that NR are planning to remove it as part of the revamp of the bridge at Chippenham station which is a shame and creates some problems for the Bentley MRG unfortunately
  10. Just have one power car perhaps arriving on test andthen pull it of the layout with a 47. If they sell them in pairs then I would happily split a set with you Adrian as I only need one for Peafore yard.
  11. OMG. That looks a peach, I dread the price but it will be worth it for a model like that.
  12. With standard security only it is not the most difficult thing to nick sadly. There will be some improved anti theft measures going on mine.
  13. Small world, look forward to meeting you Matt as we are both exhibiting at Yate in February
  14. Thats where I have seen it! I met Dave a couple of times, he is a top notch modeller having seen the amazing work he has BT&S, I am on OLLR as well.
  15. MFO918 seems familiar for some reason, has it been in a magazine?
  16. Stay away from anything in a blue box branded Britparts wherever possible! I looked on eBay the other night and there where a number of tidy series 3 priced at £10,000 upwards, I turned the screen off quickly before the wife saw I. Case she has any ideas of selling mine when it is done!
  17. Sadly the price of series parts is also on the up which is putting pressure on the budget but I am in no rush, I have loosely set an October 2017 deadline so it is back on the road for it's 40th Birthday
  18. These 2 beauties were in the work car park today, and serve as a regular reminder why I am rebuilding mine.
  19. Now that Peafore Yard is finished (its in the January BRM) and the MK1 BSO is nearly done, I started on this at the weekend: I replaced the chassis 10 years ago with a Galvanised new one and it is still good condition having only done 10,000 miles since but the bulkhead and front panel are rusted and there are numerous other little jobs to do. Needless to say it started second go on the button after being stood for over a year. The front panel is coming out tomorrow to take over to my dads for some welding:
  20. Looks really good, when I saw the Rail Express article earlier this year I thought the widened lines are a good prototype for a compact layout
  21. I have just re-read the draft words I sent to Andy and it appears I have forgotten to mention any forthcoming shows, Trainwest included.... I will drop him a note to see if it is too late, Yate would be a due a mention as well as that is before Trainwest.
  22. Thanks Dave, Not long to wait for the article, it is out on 10th December
  23. Re 37242, have you tried slackening the screw on the top of the bogie tower Rob? I have had similar experiences with a Bachmann 37 some years ago and that fixed it.
  24. I have always loved this layout Adrian, you have done a cracking job with it. Have you any more shows lined up for it?
