    What ever the reasons its unsatisfactory for customers. You would hope that preordering would ensure that customers would get the product ordered. I really think Hattons should provide further clarification to those left disappointed. It might provide reassurance to customers that the same thing won't happen again in the future.

    Whether it's China or Hattons at fault remains to be seen but judging by the emails some customers have received there is a problem in supplying what customers have ordered. Now if anyone knows the exact reason for these problems it might help if they were posted here ?

    I logged on to my Hattons account as well & noticed (sold out on pre order) attached to one of the orders for the Genesis coaches. I asked Hattons about this & here is the reply I received. "Sold out on pre order means that we are not able to place any more pre-orders for the item, but as you have done this and had it confirmed you should be ok." "It just means we are unable to take any more pre-orders for that item." Hopefully we should be ok ? Tony.

    I tried Dinghams & really liked them but I have radius which are too tight for them. If I had an end to end layout I would use them or S & W's.

    Diagram file attached. The only thing I found is when you switch on your DCC system & push the push button nothing happens. When you push it again it works fine. After that it works without any problem unless you switch your system off, when you need to push it twice to make it work again. I don't know if anyone else has had that problem as I didn't ask because its not really a problem for me. Cobalt iP Digital x 2 controlled by push button switch.pdf

    I spoke to someone very knowledgeable about these matters and he said the only way you'd cause any interference with the NCE Radio system is if you went out & threw it at someone 😏

    I would also find out why your loco causes a short on certain points. Are these points insulated frog or electro frog ?

    Get a roller & brush for the ceiling & walls & an airbrush for the modelling work. You're unlikely to get one which will do both.

    Is it true that 3170 only had the extra radiators & exhaust in LNER days when it received a new engine & that the model of 3070 is correct in NER red & cream?

    Without knowing what the problem is I would say concentrate your attentions on the locomotive. The fact that the problem only occurs with a single locomotive points to this being the source of the problem. Does it happen when running the locomotive in both directions ?
