There used to be three coaches at the Midland Railway Centre, no idea if they're still there.
29663, 29666, 29670.

From the photo of the buffet car earlier in the thread it looks like a passable buffet could be produced by a modified glazing insert and a new seat moulding..
-
Problem with the others is they were rather region specific, whilst the 101 was a lot more widely spread. Personally I'm waiting for the NSE one, hope it's not too long in the pipeline!
Class 120s were pretty well travelled.
And nobody's made one of those before.
-
No, I'm pretty sure the buffets were all in NE units (possibly all in 4 car sets too)

We're all assuming that it will become a 3 car at some point then???
I certainly hope so.
And what about a buffet car? Not many of those were built.
-
How can you say that, how many models of a EE type3 do you want? :D
I know your just pulling his leg, but a definitive 37 is still in the wanting???
It certainly is...at least in 4mm
I want just the one thank you.
Centre headcode, VF built, GSYP, original condition.
If any manufacturer would care to make one in 4mm I would be interested in about 5 or 6.

You should see what they've done to the bus stops in Bristol!
On some routes bus stops that used to be set into the pavement to allow traffic to pass a stationary bus have been drastically altered. Now the pavement bulges out into the road at bus stops, so that a stopped bus completely blocks the traffic whist picking up/setting down.

01.55 am tomorrow - Julia Bradbury: Fame In The Frame. Sky Arts 1 (Channel 243)
Countryfile's Julia Bradbury poses semi-nude while John Myatt paints her as a Greek goddess preparing to meet her lover, in Paul Ruben's sensual Venus In Front Of The Mirror.
b*****r - missed it.
It'll be on again no doubt.
I've always had a soft spot for Phillipa Forrester.
She was soooo sexy on Robot Wars.

Tainted Love by Soft Cell - so different from the older Gloria Jones version..
Money by the Flying Lizards - again a complete rework that left me a bit stunned the first time I heard it, it was so different to anything I'd previously heard.
Summertime Blues would have had the same effect if it had come first - as it was it was more of the same.
And a couple that should never have been let out of the recording studio

I've just received my GSYP 105 and a GSYP 26 from Rails.
Ordered on Friday for next day delivery - I live in Bristol so it should have come on the Saturday.
It didn't arrive, so I rang up on Monday. The chap at Rails was most helpful, chased it up and rang me back twice on my mobile to let me know what was happening. Several parcels had slid off a conveyor belt at Parcel Force's Bristol depot and been sat there going nowhere. He let me know when it was now supposed to arrive (which it did) and is getting a refund on the shipping cost back off Parcel Force for me.
Annoying that it didn't arrive when SWMBO was at work on the Saturday, another parcel to explain, but not Rails's fault.
Pretty good customer service I'd say.
PS They came in a huge box, individual items bubble wrapped, then in a box big enough for about 4 or 5 105s filled up with shredded paper.

Just for a change this week i've been listening to some Douglas Adams on my iPod on the bus to/from work.

I spent a lot of time in Scotland in 1989, making the most of the loco hauleds before the 156 invasion.
The West Highland had lost nearly all its SKs by then, MK1s were still in use, but nearly all opens. Early Mk2s seemed to have replaced the SKs.
The far North and Kyle lines still had SKs, good for a kip on the 06:25 Wick/Thurso.
-
Well, as far as locos are concerned, that just about makes everything I want either available or going to be, except......
-
Don't forget that they were used on Liverpool-Newcastle services in later days. 8 coaches or less.
The first photo is a caption competition surely. - That's one hell of a key ring you've got there Bert.
-
The REP/TC conversion program had an intereting side effect.
Because certain types of MK1 were required for the conversions and the Southern didn't have enough of them, they had to trade with other regions to get what they wanted.
This led to green MK1s appearing on services in Scotland amongst other places until repaints were arranged. I've got a book with a shot of a green Mk 1 on a service leaving Ayr.

Perhaps this will be the first to have a flap on the bottom giving access to the chip space....

50s in my fleet - zero.
I was going to buy a couple of D421s and renumber one, but when I saw the head on view of the model, the old wallet refused to part with hard earned dosh.
Those front windows are soooo wrong.
It screams out at you that the sad eyed droopy look of the real thing's windows just isn't there. The old Lima model had the same fault, which makes you wonder if the same drawings were used.

I've noticed that they have different shaped buffer beams at the cab end. (5th photo)
The JLTRT one appears to slope inwards all the way, the Heljan one goes straight down for a short distance, then slopes inwards.
