  6. I must say I am very impressed with this model and I think this has now got me in the mood to create a small N gauge layout. Well done Dapol..........
  7. Hi Stephen I have been off the scene for a few months just catching up on all the threads!! Must say Gloucester Road is taking shape nicely good work. All the best Darren NSE DAZ
  8. Hi all sorry to drag this up once again but it appears that Vin is well...... I have noticed that he is active again on a well known auction site. The reason for me raising this thread again is that one of you sent me a message last year regarding dealings with Vin, I can not seem to find this so if you could be so kind and send this again to me it would be appreciated. I hope that Vin will be contacting me as I have sent him a message via the selling site. For the records to this date 4 years on I still have no 442 and still £2000 worst off!!. Lets hope its just an oversight and the 442 will be with me soon or a re-fund??? Thanks all for you help Darren NSE DAZ
  9. Hi all at the Salisbury & South Wilts Railway Society. I would just like to say a big thank you for your hospitality over this weekend. We really enjoyed ourselves, the catering was out of this world the cake would be worth a visit on it's own!! (We polished off 6 slices over the 2 days!!) Hope to see you all in the future. All the best Darren NSE DAZ .... Team Croydon North Street
  10. Hi Rich Fantastic work mate just catching up on a few threads on RMweb and Oxford Road is one of the best in my opinion. All the best Darren NSE DAZ
  11. Hi Ian Hope you are well. Due to other commitments myself and Pete have made the decision to no longer continue with the build of Upton Parkway. It was not an easy decision to make but we had to be realistic with our hectic lifestyles it was just not going to be achievable. I am fully booked this year and to be honest up to the end of 2019 with Croydon North Street taking up a lot of my free time. Being out on the road with this North Street has really eaten into my family time so having a second layout on the circuit could mean a divorce would have been on the cards!!! (I have a understanding wife really). So its the end of the line for Upton Parkway thanks for all your interest and input with this venture. All the best Darren NSE DAZ
  12. Hi Kevin Hope you are well. Cracking job with that 117 was the conversion easy? All the best Darren NSE DAZ
  13. Hi all Just to let you know that Upton Parkway is still going on behind the scenes. I have a few PM's from concerned rmwebber's that this project has finished it truly has not. Pete has been busy and I have been flat out on the exhibition circuit with Croydon North Street (8 exhibitions already completed this year!!) As soon as we have more to show you guy's will be kept in the loop. All the best Darren NSE DAZ PS Pete Upton Parkway has just had it's first invite by an rmweb member for January next year!!! No pressure my friend
  14. Hi NickL2008 Thats great what do you have? and how much? Do you want to PM me Thanks for all the other tips I will take a ganda as you can never have enough spares of these!! All the best Darren NSE DAZ
  15. Hi all Can anyone point me in the right direction for a set of Hornby Class 50 Louvres? I have searched but with no success!! Many thanks Darren NSE DAZ
  16. Hi njee20 thanks for your support. He lives in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Was he active on the forum? Lets hope he is ok and this is just an over sight!! Darren NSE DAZ Hi Gazza Many thanks PM sent All the best Darren NSE DAZ
  17. Hi all I have come to the conclusion that I have sadly lost £2000 with this build as I have had no contact with Vin since September 2014!! I have phoned, posted letters, emailed & PM Vin with no joy? I hope Vin is well but fear the worst. I live over 240 miles away so not a 5 minute journey to call at his address to investigate. If any of you good folk know any info on Vin please could you drop me a PM. Thanks all, I suppose its the risk I took and this time I lost....big time! Darren NSE DAZ
  18. Hi Richard All the best with the new venture, look forward to seeing the build progress. All the best Darren NSE DAZ
  19. Hi all Well Croydon North Streets first outing for 2017 took place last weekend at the Bournemouth MRC Exhibition. What a great show fantastic turnout and as ever thanks to all that come over and had a natter. Below a few pictures from the exhibition. More soon Darren NSE DAZ
  20. Hi Pete That looks cracking mate very pleased with that Very neat and tidy very professional, I secretly think you like the electrical work!! So with the boards and electrics almost complete it's now the best part in my opinion, the scenic's Thanks for the update All the best Darren NSE DAZ
  21. Hi all Next up on the loco front is the resident shunter 08641 DARTMOOR This loco features the superb Legomanbiffo sound file and weathered by The Weathering Works. Picture courtesy of The Weathering Works) All the best NSE DAZ
  22. Hi Pete To be honest I was thinking the other way!! Even though Upton Parkway is based loosely around the SW England line, the bulk of the stock will be 3rd rail traction. I was thinking that the branch line would be good for the Thumper's etc? I am now thinking that plan 2 would be the best option as it covers all aspects ad has more operational potential. Another factor I failed to mention is I have a 442 being built and this bad boy will be over 5' long so would not be able to fit on the branch platform so this needing to be housed on the main line platform! So plan 2 looks like a winner for me Cheers Darren NSE DAZ
  23. Hi Pete That's great, that's more than enough platform space. A class 73 plus a couple of GUV's or a 3 car Thumper for the lower track will be fine. Glad the signal box has turned up safe and sound, it looks good already but yes when that NSE signage is added and dulled down a little it will slot in there a treat. Cheers Darren NSE DAZ
  24. Hi all Next up on the traction front is a Class 416 (2 EPB) electric multiple unit. This loco features the superb Legomanbiffo sound file and weathered by The Weathering Works. (Picture courtesy of The Weathering Works) All the best NSE DAZ
