  8. Hi Paul Many thanks. The cassettes are pot riveted to the ply base. They are indeed 48" long and the ends just slot in place with some groves that have been created by ply wood. (I will post some pictures up) These are single ended but could quite easily be made double ended. I hope this helps - like I say I will get some pictures up ASAP Darren NSE DAZ

A big thanks to all that stopped to have a natter good to put faces to the names. Below a couple of pictures from the show. Thats all for now! All the best Darren NSE DAZ
  15. Haha I see where you are coming from sammyboy but completely the opposite! I don't follow football the name Upton Parkway was taken from "Upton Country Park" a National Trust site that is set in Dorset my home town. All the best Darren NSE DAZ
  16. Hi Pete This is it the foundations for Upton Parkway have now been created!! These boards are a good solid start (well done Pete) and behind the scenes I have been working on the traction side of things! At this point I can confirm a 442 "plastic pig" is being worked on to mark the opening of Upton Parkway more on this soon. All of my Croydon North Street stock has now been detailed and weathered also some more MK2a coaching stock has been ordered to run behind them class 50's!! Just the thought of these snaking over that point work at Upton Parkway is making my hairs on the back of my neck stand on end..... So Pete hit me with the Tillig cost etc so I can start selling a kidney!! All the best Darren NSE DAZ
  17. Hello Pete Firstly I feel so bad!! Please please please don't stop work on your layout on my behalf!! I will start receiving hate mail haha But honestly there is no rush with my build. Secondly If you was not constructing Upton Parkway for me I would have snapped up Ripple Lane - A note for any potential buyer you will not be disappointed with Pete's work I still receive positive feedback on Pete's old layout Croydon North Street that I purchased last year at every exhibition we have attend (By the way croydon North Street has an invite to Warley 2018) Lastly thanks for picking up the headboards for me Speak soon Darren NSE DAZ
  18. Hi Pete good to hear from you again, I thought you had done a runner with my hard earned cash!! Me and some hardened RMWebber's was just about to board a plane to Spain!! I bet you will be sleeping with one eye open at nights now haha Pete no need to apologise take as long as you need......... like I have said before no pressure honest. Speak soon Darren NSE DAZ
  19. Good Morning John from the sunny UK Being that it's a 4-TC you will get 4 items of rolling stock (The standard 4-TC set). The item description state's "32-646Z Bachmann Class 438 unit number 8007 in BR Research red and blue livery" this indicates the unit is in red and blue livery. So to answer your question you will get a 4 coach set in BR Research red and blue livery. Hope that helps? Cheers Darren NSE DAZ
  20. Done it Just ordered the NSE livery version unit, and what a bonus I had £10 worth of loyalty points I had forgot about Now do I need a blue and grey version with NSE branding!! Darren NSE DAZ
  21. Kernow I love you That's all Darren NSE DAZ
  22. Hi Graham We are Andover & Worthing way later this year if that helps? Cheers Darren NSE DAZ
  23. Hi all Well that's exhibition number 5 completed at the Grand Summer Steam Gala at the Moors Valley Railway last weekend - Really getting the exhibition bug bad now! Below a couple of pictures from the event: The last shot shows the new cassette system we have installed on North Street due to the ever growing stock! This worked a treat. Our next outing is on 23rd and 24th July at New Milton. More soon Darren NSE DAZ
  24. Hi Pete I wish you all well with this new chapter in your lifes. When I collected North Street from you last year I could see you had a mahoosive challenge with the house renovation! fair play to you. To be honest I would be quite happy with seeing regular "weathered little bulldozer" updates but fully appreciate those tasks that always seem to get put off in favour of our hobby. Look forward to any updates in the future. All the best Daren NSE DAZ PS How far is it from Dorset to Spain thats going to be one heck of a drive collecting Upton Parkway
  25. Hi All So after a few behind the scene planning sessions with fellow RMWebber Pete 75C I feel it's about time to start the official thread to this new joint venture "Upton Parkway" below a very brief description. The joint venture: Well I say joint....... Pete will be doing 99% of the work! I will be just adding the finishing touches and taking all the praise when it hits the exhibition circuit As many of you are aware I purchased Croydon North Street from Pete over a year ago, I was totally blown away by the build quality and Pete's passion for creating these masterpieces. At the time of this purchase I knew that in the future if I was going to get a commission based layout Pete would be the "go to guy" (isn't Pete the lucky one) and the rest is history............ The location: This layout will be set in the Southern region in the late 80's early 90's under full controll of Mr NSE Chris Green! well me actually Darren NSE DAZ. The station Upton Parkway is in a fictitious setting, it will be a terminus station design with storage sidings ect. There will be plenty of third rail EMU's on local services along with loco hauled services from the West mainly in the form of class 47's and 50's, a daily mail train and the odd engineers train will also be seen stabled in the sidings Pete has a maximum dimension of 18ft x 2ft on 3 x 6ft boards to work his magic on........plenty of scope This build will not happen over night for one reason Pete has his own construction on the go " Ripple Lane" also Pete has a life beyond the model railway world - How dare he!! Watch this space for all updates on the layout's construction and Upton Parkway's growing fleet. Exciting times ahead Darren NSE DAZ
