  1. Tomorrow Never Knows - proto-psychedelic Fabs, '66 style...
  2. It's Now Or Never - Elvis Aaron Presley, uh huh
  3. The fab newfangled four wheel drive Jensen FF at Earls Court, it's either 1966, 67, 68 or 69...
  4. In The Heat Of The Night - Ray Charles, from the 1967 film soundtrack.
  5. Great selection of photos Hobby, many thanks for posting those - the Rover 2200's are getting very scarce now, they were only built from late '73 to early '77 with so many of them donating parts to 3500s down the years.
  6. Does your chewing gum lose its flavour on the bedpost overnight...? Sorry, wrong thread...!
  7. This just in from the back garden, only two of them are ours... Time for tea!
  8. Am I the only one here wondering what it would be like to drive that fine looking Quad Tractor...? What a beast!
  9. Whilst looking for something else entirely I came across this shot in the hard drive just now, not sure exactly which year it was taken but it's a good view looking south from the up platform...
  10. Sorry David, that's the last of the bus photos in my hard drive, and I have to admit I wouldn't know a Bristol RE from a hole in the ground! Glad it's brought some happy memories back for you, and I fully concur on the Hydraulics / Falcon / Blue Pullman comment...
  11. Pretty In Pink - The Psychedelic Furs
  12. When Blue Turns To Grey - The Rolling Stones
  13. Random find in my hard drive, I had no idea it was there...
  14. A Norman Preedy classic if ever there was one, what would we diesel followers have done without him?
  15. Reasons To Br Cheerful - Ian Dury & The Blockheads
  16. Won't Get Fooled Again - The 'Oo… It still blows me away every time I hear it, there are so many great things about this track we'd be here all week yacking about it but it's great that it exists at all, which it very nearly didn't.
  17. Just read elsewhere that Burt has died, no details as to the cause but what alife he lead. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=youtube+citroen+sm+burt+reynolds&view=detail&mid=CEEFEFC5E0C2C7E17907CEEFEFC5E0C2C7E17907&FORM=VIRE
  18. A bit of human interest I meant to post the other day - I was working 6Y55 down at Wembley over the weekend and chatting with my soon to retire Reading based mate Dave Jackson, he mentioned that he'd been in touch with a now retired ex-Bristol man called Ian Spencer who was the secondman on the Toton - Severn Tunnel Junction freight train which derailed at Winchcombe in August '76, effectively closing the Stratford - Cheltenham line for good. Amazing what you find out over a cuppa and a chinwag!
  19. Marylebone again in March 1964... Taunton, March 1964... taken by a young Beatles fan called Jenny Bowden who probably couldn't believe her luck...
  20. You've just reminded me of a regular job we had with a pair of 25s when I was a secondman at Stonebridge Park Roy, we took a set of coal empties to Nuneaton at around 19.00hrs, ran round them there and put them in the old up side yard then went light engine back to London as fast as we could to get a pint in the BRSA Club at Willesden.
  21. I'm Looking Through You - Rubber Soul Fabs
  22. Ah this page 45 business is most intruiging, what : ''In 1933 Rolls-Royce re-intorduced the Bentley marque, with an all new 3 & 1/2 litre chassic, as ever, the all new bodies were provided by coachbuilders - this sedanca de ville style being typical''. Must ditch the Alfa for something more upmarket! Cheery pip.
