Just gone through this post, all I can say is Brilliant.

I am surprised that a Cement tanker has not been produced, considering the amount of interest in Cement traffic.

I have been running my 14xx in and had no problems. runs smooth slow and fast. A great little model. I don't do GWR, but was impressed by this Model I decided to get one, glad I did now.

I am looking forward to receiving my G W R one soon,

Well I am pleased to say my garden layout survived the storms, tho the garden needs tidying up. Just one new wagon for my railway, a late Christmas present. Be gald when we get some nice weather so I can get out again and get on with playing trains.

It is gismorail, could do with a bit of weathering tho.

My 08 has just arrived, goes really well. Only tried it on a short bit of track but runs well. will try it out on my layout another day.

Just Got my Black 08, what a great model and so heavy. Runs slow and smooth. Just had a quick run on a 6' piece of track, bit cold to run on my garden layout today.

Heard from Tower Models I should get my Black 08 on Thursday if all goes well. So looking forward to getting this.

I am looking forward to seeing my Black 08 soon then, been a long wait so I hope it has been worth the wait.

I have a Dapol 08 on order, and hope to get it at the end of the month. also working on the kids to buy me a wagon for Christmas

Well i managed a quick running session this morning, and all seemed to work o k apart from one wagon causing a de-railment in reverse. It is now in the workshop.

I thought I would show you the complete layout, from end to end. I haven't got a name for it yet, but I still have a few things to do yet.

Picture 1..... is the main end with the control panel underneath.

Picture 3....  is the train emerging from the shed along the back fence

Picture 4....  is the train going through the trees

Picture 5....  is the train arriving at Gates end.

Parts of my layout has been down for about a year now, and I haven't noticed any

 warping of the boards. First I paint the boards with fence paint then cover the top in roofing felt, then lay the track. I cover it all up with roofing felt when not in use. so far I haven't had any problems running trains on it.

Yesterday I had a test day to see if everything was working since I wired up the last bit of the layout. Still need to re-sit a switch in the control box.The only problem I had was 2 sticky points, working on these still. Trains ran alright on all the track.

I timed a train yesterday and on a moderate speed (No wagons) it took 50 seconds from one end to the other. Hoping to carry out more tests today.

I have 56038, and cover the track in roofing felt when I am not using the railway. Still got lots to do, but now it is cooler I can get out and get on with it.  I have reached the end of the line now, so need to finish off the wiring then have a test run of all the layout.

I just buy some planks of wood, and stain them then cover them with Roofing felt to make them look like track bed. 

Captain Kernow I am modeling in gauge "0" Thought I would do something different in the garden. I have re done the last span and put in a extra support, so it doesn't sag. I am waiting for the last pieces of track and a L/H point to finish it off. Here are 2 pictures of how far I got today. I will be covering the wood with Roofing felt as well, Like I have done the rest of the layout.

I have posted some pictures of the construction of my Garden Railway, but now I am doing the last bit. It is an End to End layout as I need to keep it near the fencing.

The end of the line. Will post some more pictures when I have done some more.

Has anybody heard when these are going to be out, as they said the end of July. As we are now in to August and still no news. Nothing on Dapol web site.

I did consider OO Gauge when I was thinking of a garden layout, but then Dapol bought out the Terrier and I decided to go for O Gauge. Good luck with your Garden Layout Andyram.

The end of the Line for now. Getting this bit of the garden cleaned up ready for the last section. Not sure what it will be yet until my neighbour puts their fence up in August/September. At the moment I think it will be a runaround with 2 more points. Also had a short Running session

Hi Andyram  haven't had much time to do any more at the moment, apart from a quick running session the other day. I am waiting for my neighbour to put a new fence up so I can do the last bit. Don't think they will be doing it till August/September so I will have to be patient. Thank you for your comment.

Going by Tower Models web site the first 08's should be here at the end of June. Blue Livery I believe. I have the Black livery on order.

Had a running session yesterday, as the weather was so nice.   Had a problem with one of the points, Managed to sort it out tho. I think I need some kind of automatic coupling, as it's a end to end layout.
