  1. Just need some better weather so i can get out and do some more. I have managed a few hours through the winter, but need some warm weather to sit and catch up on the wiring side. One good thing my stock has grown, and have a few things on order for later in the year.

  2. So while the weather was good the work continued. until I came to the tree. There was not enough room to go behind the tree, so some pruning was the order of the day. Been meaning to get rid of it anyway, so now I had free passage for the railway.

  3. A friend said "it's a pity you can't go through the shed" , and this got me thinking. I re organized the shed and bought a Ply wood board. cut a hole into the shed and then cut a hole on the side of the shed. I had to have a slight incline as the other side had to miss the window. so after a bit of work I had an extension to my garden railway. I added extra power feed and we were up and running.

  4. While sitting in the garden I realized I could add an extension to part of my board. so after purchasing another plank of wood, I set to work.  I then covered it all in Roofing felt, and added a edge in case of derailments. Next job was the track plan.

  5. I have wanted a garden Railway for years, but never had the time to do it. Now that I am retired, I decided it's now or never.  Problem is I haven't got the room for the track to go around my small back garden, so the only option was a end to end layout. This was just an idea in my head, till Dapol decided to start modeling O gauge. So I took the plunge and ordered a O gauge Terrier and a wagon. I also ordered some peco O gauge track. So now where could I put my layout ?  Along the fence seemed a good idea, so I purchased some wood and started construction. So this is the start of my garden Railway.

  6. I have always been a OO gauge modeler, but my interest was stired by Dapol's O gauge Models. So I have decided to have a small O gauge Railway in the garden, tho it will not be very large. So looking forward to receiving my first loco to try it out. Be interesting to see how Dapol's O gauge stock will develop over the years and how the prices will go. So watch this space

  9. Just recieved my 2-Bil this morning, and running it in on my test track. So far (after 20 minutes) running well on DC. To my eye the detail is alright. As others have said no couplings are included, but to me this is not a problem. It is more basic than we are used to, but I am happy with it. Now What number do I put on the front?
