Thanks to some nice sunny weather today, managed to get out into the garden and do some edging for the boards. So now reached the end of the line for now, until my neighbours put up their new fence. Then I can work out what to do and where to go with it. Also managed to run some trains today. and sort out a few minor problems.

I think the most popular choice for brake van would be the BR standard brake van, to go with all the BR wagons Dapol are bringing out.

Managed to get out for a few hours today, and had a running session. Had a few minor hick cups, but manage to sort them out. Need to get the edging done before I run the trains properly, as I don't want any accidents. If the weather is O K over the weekend I will get some of it done. My new Western region brake van arrived today so gave a run in, worked well.

Managed to get out in the garden today, and wire up the last 2 Point motor switches. Also wired up one dead section switch. Had a short running session to make sure all the points were working, and pleased to say they are. Also added a plastic strip along the edge, cheap and flexible just what I wanted. Had to cut out a section for the goods shed, as it was to tight on the back line. Just need some more nails to fix it in properly. Next Job is to tidy up the wiring so it doesn't hang down so much. Roll on the better weather.

I don't know how I have missed this, you would think that Dapol would say something about these items After 2 plus years. I have started a O Gauge garden railway, and would love to see some of these items out soon.
Come on Dapol say something.

Dapol could go for a different wheel arrangement and do 14xx, Tho this limits it to the GWR/Western region. Other wheel arrangements are available :-)

So after Putting the pallet fence up in the corner and a slight trim, I got on with the track boards. I managed to miss the roots of the tree, and put a post in and another board. I laid some more track including a point. Wired it all up and tried running a train up and down. All was working well. All this was done in between rainy days, which is so frustrating when you just want to get on.

The next problem was the corner of the garden, a bit over run and in need of some TLC. I needed a short bit of fence so I adapted a pallet to fit the gap. A coat of stain, and fixed it in place. All this was done in between rainy days, so took a while. The more I get done in the winter months, the more time I will have in the spring to enjoy my railway.

I should imagine Dapol are working on future releases, but as you say Kev not until they are well under way. so a case of watch this space...

I do so hope Dapol announce a new loco soon, and a few coaches would go down well to go with the terrier. some pre BR would be great news. I should think that we will eventually get a small loco from all the pre BR companies. Any guesses what will come first ?
